Absolutely correct bro. Just been driving 4 months, and its definitely the company. Every time I needed a repair they just want me to stay in the truck rather than booking me a motel while the truck is being fixed which makes no sense. They don't realize that everyday I return to a truck shop, I lose my place in line and it delays the repairs when I could just leave it there to be repaired. Just like right now my APU is out, and its over 100 degrees, and they just tell me to keep rolling and leave the truck on allday everyday rather than getting it in fixed. I get it they just don't want to pay for a motel. Sad thing is I was told that they wouldn't comp a motel stay because an APU outage isn't considered a mechanical problem. I'm not a mechanic, but I would assume that leaving your trucking running for days straight will eventually cause damage to the truck

Real talk! My first trucking job was hell and I definitely stayed too long but the job I'm on now is much easier and desirable work though sometimes management and other employees can make it hard for drivers.

I started in food service trucking and hated it. Went to a driveaway company and enjoyed it the first year. It's peaceful bc you work alone and don't really have to deal with very many customers. But what makes me hate it now is the harsh changes in dispatch and management. They play favorites, force dispatch, and reduced pay per load. Makes me question my future in trucking. Messing with my mental health.

I’ve been in drveaway for over 1 year and I’m starting to realize this too. Favoritism has me considering leaving it for good. But don’t stop trucking because it’s a lot of options

If your a blue collar worker then it all sucks and it’s all dangerous foodservice isn’t the only back breaking work so if your not a doctor or a lawyer then lace them boots up and get to work

Worked for Sysco for 3 months. It was brutal man coming from another industry to food service. It made me hate trucking for sure. But im looking to go back.

Gordon Food Service was my first job as a driver. I hated it. Good company, good coworkers. I was just in over my head. Being on the swing board on top of having my truck loaded 3 or 4 hrs late everyday was a nightmare. I only made it 6 months.

I rock with your channel. But we can't dismiss the fact that most people in all industries are looking for the so called good job. Most people are venting because these employers are taking advantage of the employees. Especially in Trucking guys want that good gig but there's limited opportunities. We can hear both sides of the argument. The average employer won't let anyone get overtime anymore.
