I love the ice cream break partway through! I bet they only do it going one way, and I'd want to stop both ways! :) Glad you got a shout-out on the train!

Yes, wasn't that fun. I wonder if there's some kind of financial arrangement between the train and ice cream shop?

Very cool, glad it's still running! I've only been on a small plantation railway on Kuaui near Lihue, thanks for sharing this.

2:56 What used to be the front gates to Barbers Point Navel Air Base. Drove into that gate for 3 years. Going south along Enterprise (The Yard on my Layout is called Enterprise Yard . I parked at the circle where Enterprise and Midway meet in front of the long warehouse ) then walked over to my Hanger 110, the former home of VQ-3 TACAMO. Go north is up the hill along Makakilo Dr. I used to live on top of the Hill at both Kaleo PL and Kikaha St. Kikaha St was has far as you could go. It was all cane fields and no house tell you go on the north side of H1

Hey, thanks for that. Nice to know it had a connection with you. I lived in nearby Ewa in an old teacher's cottage when I was teaching then moved over to Ewa Beach. I taught at Campbell High. Yes, all sugar cane back then, 1966 to 69. Now I'm in Ogden enjoying model train activities.

That was a fun ride! There must be so much about Hawaiian railway I have not learned about yet, including what kind of history all that equipment had behind it.

Oh, you took the ride, you're quick. yes, the Hawaiian Railway has a wonderful history dating from the late 1800's. Look it up and read about it.

@LeeWitten I’ve never been to Hawaii so I have yet to experience the ride there, although I did ride on “A Day Out With Thomas” as a kid. I almost forgot you mentioned being in Hawaii before, you taught there right?
