Hawaii Five-0 Open / Bumps / SMPTE Leader / Close (1977) / Viacom "V" *Low Toned* (1978) [4K] | 16mm

From "Requiem for a Saddle Bronc Rider". Eastman LPP stock dated 1982. Reels 1 and 2 were printed separately, hence why there's SMPTE leader in the middle of the print. I have a few other prints of this show, as well as a print of "Rawhide," with something similar.

Must be one of the most pristine rips of the filmed colour "V" we have on KZbin. The colours on the stock have aged gorgeously

I cleaned the print, and the others, before sending them to be scanned. It was already a very clean print before I cleaned it. This print is also one of the best prints I have in terms of sound quality. The audio is crystal clear, certainly some of the best audio I've heard on 16mm.

@@TheVintageTVArchive the cleaning has done wonders I think. Can you tell if an audio track is in good condition before it goes to get scanned, or do you have to wait until it comes back?

2:48-Jim Doney is familiar to older Clevelanders like me, because he was the host of the local travelogue series "Jim Doney Adventure Road" on WJW-TV (now Fox 8) from about 1962-75.

I can only remember seeing one print of the show many years ago. 16mm prints of that show are very uncommon, but I'd love to add a print whenever I can.
