It's actually about Simon and his love interest (Simon being the Wale and his love interest being the octopus(if you want to know why tell me)) and how they change by the time and go there way but the they reconnected by the trep to Hawaii, and this is why it's the second song in the album

Eventually they go on a trip to Hawai’i, reconnecting the two. Idk why they said this explains why it’s track 2

TEORÍA:Stella es el pulpo y simon la ballena representando que estela siempre fue nas inteligente que Simon, y si evolución es una representación de la reencarnación. Esoto ouede decir que la chica que canta en esta canción es Stella en otra vida al igual que Simon. Viendolo así, esta canción seria otra vida de Simon donde su novia Stella era distante, casi como una isla para si misma, tiempo después Simon muere haciendo que Stella se arrepienta y trate de buscar a Simon en su itra vida. De alli pasaríamos a las demas canciones hasta dream sweet in sea major donde Simon encontraria a Stella en el espacio/cielo haciendo ver a simon que Stella siempre fue su novia en si otra vida. Después, en dream seweet in sea major stella y simon decidieron vivir juntos por el resto de su muerte y finalmente en variation on a cloud renunciar a su capacidad de rencarnar debido a que en la tierra siempre hay desgracias poniendo de ejemplo el 9/11. I originally made it so they were always moving from left to right and Joe Hawley posted that version as the official version on Miracle Musical’s KZbin channel. But he told me he liked the idea of having a version be flipped so they are going right to left, because he was into the idea of being ambidextrous.
