Yeah, many street interviews recently just harass people with inappropriate questions and treat them like props. If this format is to happen, it’s best that, in advance, people give their permission and are told what the questions will be like.

Not to mention the fact most of the interviewers hang outside of bars like that feels super predatory. I get that these people are adults in public so consent isn't necessary for them to be filmed HOWEVER just because it's technically legal doesn't mean it's ethical. Hailey is lucky that she has mostly benefitted from this situation vs actually getting fired from her job. There's just something about taking advantage of unsuspecting, inebriated people for Internet clout that doesn't sit right with me.

It’s honestly kind of depressing that almost every one-off meme gets monetized as much as possible and so many people will get one viral moment and not just laugh. They have to turn it into merch, profit, podcasts, etc. it’s nice to just have a “funny” (depending on your humor ig) moment that the internet shares and then moves on from. As soon as someone makes merchandise of their viral video it just feels so hollow and lame in my opinion
