Season is almost over. Happy with the progression of the team. Go hawks

Look at Macdonald and where he comes from: Baltimore: physical, punch you in the mouth, defense, run the ball, control the clock. Look at Grubb: finesse, pass the ball, look how smart I am scheming something up. Those two mindsets are diametrically opposed. Feels like a Jeremy Bates 2.0, IMO.

Will be interesting to see how and if the organization changes up the way they handle charter seat licensing, given that a lot of those are owned by companies, who use them to schmooze clients. One of the local corporate law firms (Lane Powell) I worked closely with a while back gave me their 4 tickets to a game, which I accepted despite having season tickets of my own (theirs were 5 rows back from the 50 yard line) and it surprised me to see little golden plaques on the seats, displaying their "ownership" of them. My guess is that taking that away would only raise season ticket prices for the rest of the folks as a result. Lastly, I've held 4 club level season tickets ever since the stadium opened, up until last year, when I decided to renew only 2 after my father passed. Can definitely see the shift in how the fanbase has become the last few years, as opposed to years before, even when the team was going through some droughts. Definitely a much younger crowd (perhaps the kids of the the seat holders?) who aren't willing or used to screaming when opposing offenses are on the field, with more booing and jeering our own players, yelling for folks to be cut or fired, etc. It's really been disheartening. In any case, definitely don't think I'll be renewing my 2 seats after this year. Prices are going up year after year and, ever since Paul passed and Jody took charge, what little benefits/amenities we got have either been vastly reduced or removed entirely. Just not worth the cost anymore (my tickets to the TNF game against the 49ers, and the SNF game against the Packers were $1060 and $1170 alone, respectively). I've been a diehard Hawks fan all my life, and one of my best lifetime memories will always be attending the Hawks vs. Broncos Super Bowl, but it's definitely getting more difficult, not to mention physically draining, attending games as I get older. Also, nothing worse than fighting traffic and making the 1-1.5 hour depressed drive home, immediately after a tough loss. Will still stick by this team through thick and thin, but will do so from the comfort of my own home, with a bottle of whiskey within arm's reach, to help suppress the way I feel about Ryan Grubb's play calling lol. Go Hawks!

Grubb doesn’t have the mindset for the NFL

Great discussion - really appreciate the breakdown of Grubb's presser answers. On the QB discussion, I posit that you're better off spending $$ in the O line vs. QB. Darnold is instructive. Playing behind the 8th rated line (per Pro Football Network), he's the 8th rated QB (per PFF). Similarly 5 of the top 10 rated QBs are playing behind top 10 O lines. Purdy is suddenly terrible with Trent Williams sidelined when he was a $60M sure bet a few weeks ago. Would Sam Darnold still be a washout if he was currently under center for Seattle? Conversely, maybe Geno would be an MVP candidate if he played in MN? Maybe Purdy, Darnold, Goff and even others like Josh Allen would all be considered dog $hit if they played under center for the Seahawks or a similar horrible O line? I think the QB discussion is too often derailed from its O line context. Maybe we continue to pickup QB "washouts" like Geno, Drew (maybe not Sam) and instead invest the extra $30-40M in a top o line?

Geno would put up insane numbers if he was on Minnesota. In a dome, with a great O Line, and a better WR group AND an elite pass catching Tight End. Anyone who thinks Geno is an issue doesn’t get ball.

I mean if we lose this game and the division, we’re out of the playoffs simple as that 🤷🏾♂️

LOSING TO THE GIANTS WAS MY ONLY REAL DISAPPOINTMENT… EVEN THOUGH THE PLAY CALLING ISNT UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS ITS BEATS (PEAT KORROLS 😂 ) 3RD AND 4 THEN HAND IT OFF IN THE BACK FIELD FOR A 3 YARD LOSS !! GENOS INTERCEPTIONS CAN BE COACHED OUT OF HIM BY PLAY DESIGN, PLAY CALLING , AND USING GENOS FOOT SPEED MORE TO SOFTEN UP THE DEFENCE…

I agree w DK n players expressing their feelings about tickets being sold to opponents, like we do? 12s, Fans Love n support the SEAHAWKS, n player’s opinion is not disrespecting me n many They play to WIN..coaching n Geno factor into WINNING too! NFL n Ownership, Org, etc., need to do what’s realistic to lower ticket prices..Many die hard fans are at home w Family n Friend’s Cheering, Yelling, Supporting our Hawks, cause of the cost for a couple to be at the game.. which we want, but $600-800-$1000 a couple is disturbing, it’s ok with them.. they can buy whatever? LOVE SEAHAWKS! Go Fight WIN SEAHAWKS 🥶

They will end up outside of the playoffs just as we expected them to do! Smith is not the answer to our quarterback issue! Neither is Howell! Until we find that QB this is about where we should expect them to end up! Reality sucks sometimes, especially when it affects the Hawks and Seattle sports franchises in general!

No QB is succeeding behind an O Line this bad. Not one. Especially with this WR core, which is wildly overrated. Geno is the answer for the next few years. Moving on from him would be stupid.
