I assume the detour at 4:59:50 was an attempt in find a petrol station? Oh, you found the only one in Quebec it seems judging by how busy it is 5:07:05 😒 Do you speak French, or can you get by in Quebec with only English? I hope you get the chance to get out and do some more trips now that covid seems to be fading as I do enjoy your real time videos. Maybe not downtown Ottawa just yet though😀
@unclecoolie2 жыл бұрын
I did exit the freeway at 4:59:50 in search of fuel but found none, open at least. I don't speak French, and I'm not entirely sure how difficult it is to communicate with most people in Quebec not knowing French, because I only interacted with a few people while driving through there, and they spoke English. I just did another big road trip, which I'm currently editing now and hope to have uploaded in the next 2-3 weeks. First it will be time-lapse, then real time versions will follow. When I planned this Canadian drive, I originally wanted to drive into Canada via Niagara Falls and drive through Toronto and Ottawa, but I just couldn't fit it into my schedule as I only had 4 total days to do the drive from my house in Virginia up to North Sydney, Nova Scotia and back to Virginia. Eventually, I'll figure out a drive through Ottawa and Toronto, and maybe a more westward drive though Canada from there.

Did you hear about Interstate 40 bridge (Hernando de Soto Bridge) between Arkansas and Tennessee shut down the traffic few days ago? It was due to huge crack on the bridge. There is no timeline for reopening the bridge yet and they are inspecting the bridge. It is gonna take months to fix it. Drivers will need to take the Interstate 55 bridge few miles south as a detour.
