Not to mention I think that every character that is born in the Vegan star system *(the system where Starfire was born)* is going through a constant state of Civil War, Revolution, Or invasions via the Psions or the Gordanians. It doesn’t help that the Green Lanterns the supposed protectors of the universe aren’t doing their jobs. Starfire made a reference in Injustice 2 to how the Green Lanterns didn’t give Tamaran any aid when it was being ransacked by the Gordanians.

@@kennethsatria6607 I think Hawk girl's rise to prominence AND popularity is showing the organic shift in societal focus more effectively than the "Imposed" alterations made in more recent years. Yes, bringing her to the forefront WAS a deliberate choice to improve balance in the Justice League line up, but unlike more recent changes in characters, this was just spotlighting an existing character who had 60+ years of history,(and was already a strong warrior) and adding more flesh to her background. She gained acceptance because there was nothing "Artificial"about her. She is VERY close to her roots in Sheyera Hall, the ORIGINAL non-alien Hawk Girl of the Golden age.
