This might be the best DIY video on KZbin. I could see the enthusiasm leave your body as it progressed. 😂 Loved the ending. I actually stood outside like an idiot for an hour waiting for a breeze for the money shot in my video. 🤔 I gotta say your first mistake was not digging a new hole a foot over though. 😁

@ 13:00 minutes I thought you were going to loose your mind. I can feel your frustration at this point. If it were me, I would have just dug up all the concrete and lifted it out of the hole. It beats pounding concrete every time for me. Most likely it was about 18" by 20" deep. maybe 150-200 lbs. Welcome to FLA.

Putting a regular flag pole, digging a hole, stone in the bottom, about 20" or so deep. My question is: I see many that put the dry concrete in the hole and then water it over a period of time. Is that the way to go or should I get involved with mixing the cement? Is either way ok?

This happened to me years ago except in a different way. I ended up having to dig all around the concrete and I eventually had enough room around the sides of it that I could wrap my 15,000 lb limit tow rope around it and tie a knot and I slowly pulled it out of the hole with my truck and then I dragged to my back yard and it's been there ever since.
