Instead of relying on anecdotal experiences from individuals, the station should invite certified nutritionists and dietitians who have the training and knowledge to offer safe, evidence-based dietary guidance. You should know better than to promote unverified advice on such an influential platform.SMH

You are right. I was surprised to see such content on major tv . The person they are showing is not a professional. She is just referencing KZbin videos. They didn’t even put a disclaimer.

Yes Tsedey, you’re absolutely right. Thank you for raising your concern, it makes my little scientist heart happy! It’s really frustrating to see dangerous narratives on TV programs. Sadly, it’s not the first time. I’ve seen other programs as well. What she suggested could cause muscle loss due to low protein intake which is detrimental to overall health. She’s taking one-size-fits all approach, which shows she’s not a health or nutrition professional. We all are different(even identical twins), hence diet and weight loss advices need to be personalised based on our needs and health conditions. Dear viewers, please don’t get fixated on the number on the scale. Especially for women, your weight fluctuates through out the month due to hormonal changes. Even morning and evening measurements could be different. If you need to lose weight, aim to lose unnecessary fat. Focus on ways to gain muscle through balanced diet and exercise(weight lifting and resistance training). Most importantly, seek professional advice to find out what makes you gain weight in the first place and safe way to lose it. EBS please don’t take this matters lightly. Do your research and bring professionals; I’m sure there’re lots of them in Ethiopia.
There is no explanation of how and why these ingredients lead to weight loss-just telling us to add a few ingredients to a pot and boil them. What is the base behind the weight loss? It would have been nice if you guys had invited a professional to explain this. The host had no idea why the ingredients were added. She took the lead in the guest's suggestion without knowing the why. It would help if you guys did better-inviting professionals to explain in detail, especially with something that deals with health.

It is very sad to see a network such as EBS TV bringing someone with no medical expertise at all to give advice on weight loss. She presented knowledge she googled. That does not make her an expert. You could use her as an extra guest to share her experience but to base a whole program on her knowledge is simply not understandable. There are many experts you can consult!!!!!

This media getting worse and worse. She gave wrong advice against the so far scientific evidence in weight loss and gain. For example she categorize meat as a source of weight gain, which is completely WRONG. Please invite professional nutritionist just for the sake professionalism and evidence based advice
