channelofstuff I agree to that in some point. Does he ever get out of first gear? The Busa will Cruze in 3rd and 4th gears all day long. Just because he is not running it up to 10 RPM doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy the bike. Is he riding his first Hayabusa on the street or track. It’s a street bike not a track bike. Ride it like a street bike not a track bike. Have you ridden a Hayabusa?? I’ve owned One!!!
@ltsgarage77804 жыл бұрын
channelofstuff you are correct and incorrect all at once. He should be shifting to third, fourth just to let the motor relax. He’s on the street not racing the bike. He doesn’t need to be running the RPM’s way up. Shift the bike & enjoy it.

Revs dont actually do any bad for the engine. Cruising on high rpm just wears the internals of the engine a little more, but considering the pistons and valvetrain of a modern inline 4 are designed to last practically the whole lifespan of the bike, that's not necessarily a problem either.

These bikes can be tooled around in 6th then you just open them up tp 200kmh+ then the engine pulls you up with no brakes needed, which makes them safe as if you pick wrong line in a corner it will pull u up . They dont want to wheelie all the time and they are comfortable easy to ride and handle. These bikes are easier to ride around town in 3rd and 4th than jerking it around in first.

Never ridden a Busa though I'd love to. In Canada Insurance rates on bikes like that are crazy, .. if you find a company willing to insure you. I bought a old but decent '88 Suzuki Katana 1100 a few months ago as a retirement gift to myself after being out of riding for 30 years, and the insurance company I'd been with for about 45 years wouldn't insure it, .. said it was on the restricted bikes list. I totally agree with you though about the torque even in high gear. If I can motor through town at 2,000 RPM in high gear on a 31 year old GSX1100F and then just roll on as I leave town like it's nothing, I know the Busa will for sure.

@@buddhastaxi666 wow that zx14r would be a great machine. I like sport touring bikes and that's why I got this 1100 Katana. It was one that came with the optional luggage right from the factory and I can take it off or on in a matter of seconds. Now my old bike has 114,000 km on it but still pulls like a freight train when I run it through the gears. It's about 600 lbs so it's not light, but I like a bit of weight in my bikes too. I'm almost 68 years old so I'm probably not going to do much drag racing, but still love acceleration. Once my wife retires in a couple of years we'll probably retire in the Philippines so I can ride year round too, ... although I guaranty I'll be on a lot smaller than a 1100. haha Take good care and ride safe.

@tedosmundson73266 жыл бұрын
The guy is a novice rider and out of his comfort zone. All I can say is learn to how drive what you are riding. Busas are easy to ride after a few minutes if you have any riding skill to begin with. They are top heavy and demand precise control at slow speeds. That is the price you pay for having an iconic motorcycle that does many things well once you learn how to ride them. I hit the twisties often and have no chicken marks on my tires and love the way it handles. A skilled rider on a Busa is still pretty fast when it comes to running hard... they also feel confidence inspiring because they aren't as twitchy as the smaller lighter sport bikes. So... to each his own... mine is an 05 and my 2nd gen 1. My history goes back to 1971 on a 750 Honda and this Busa is bike number 15 for me... 1990 ZX-11... 89 V Max, 1983 1100 E Suzuki, 1981 GPZ 1100 are some examples of how I got to the Hayabusa... Its my favorite solo bike... i would love to get a 1400 Concours or some sport tourer with a windshiled and bags for short trips. The Busa isn't for everybody... however... it is a good experience to ride one for an hour or two if you ever get the chance.

I am an aged pensioner and A VERY AVERAGE RIDER. I purchased a new Suzuki Hayabusa IN 2017. If you are gentle on the throttle it behaves in a very sedate and smooth manner. My biggest gripe is the shear weight.I have had 2 stationary drops.Could not hold it up . Also it wants to go in a straight line ...you have to be very good rider to pull this massive machine over in a tight corner ...no can do at this stage.

Thanks Danny! Keep in mind that this is 2016. If you say something about a Hayabusa that someone else disagrees with, it deserves hate mail and dislikes

@redxpress7646 жыл бұрын
And you are an IDIOT. Bikes don't ride the same, shift the same or look the same. I have 2010 Busa, 2012 Sabre 1300 and R1. Each look different, ride different, look different and shift different. Get you head out of your ass and actually ride something (besides your BIG WHEEL) before you post on something you know nothing about.

Younger, I dreamed of this motorcycle. Now, I drive a cruiser motorcycle. I like driving alone, 1100 km each day. However, my girlfriend watches sportbike if she watches the dude on a sportbike, the cost would not be matter.

@jeffreymrrs1508 жыл бұрын
Ride what you want just be careful but who ever said a busa are 1000 want pull the front wheel under power has never been on one. My 1000 comes up under power. Careful topping hills to. The fronts don't wanna come down when you start down.

I go to youngblood all the time love that place. I can never find tier demo days on the calendar though
@johnb1895 Жыл бұрын
no why most bikes they say cant lift front tire is because safety wont allow bike to lift tire alot. but if you punch it will only lift a tad before safety stops you. your safe due to its safety stuff

Guys i would habe been a lot in first gear too! Why? Because if you are on a test ride you want to know the motor characteristics and you wanna feel how its doing in different rev ranges. The thing is on a busa you have so much power you cant legaly know how the higher rev ranges feel when youre not in first gear. Also this bike could take it all day long. If you watch someone that rides on a 125 at 60mph for a while do you mock him to? Even a 125 wont be damaged by these high revs even though its such a small engine
@Titronixxx1306 жыл бұрын

Nice video, forget the negative views. There's no such thing as a bad video unless the wind is so bad, you can't hear the bike. For some reason, I can tell how fast I'm going, roughly without looking.

Hey thanks. It is a skill that can be learned for sure
@zeeosix8 жыл бұрын
When they told you in the safety briefing "that the front wheels will not come off the ground" they probably meant they don''t want the riders hammering the bikes in 1st gear. Probably half the bikes on that ride will lift the front wheel when hammered hard in 1st. Too bad you couldn't take it up to about 100 MPH ... that's when the Busa just starts stretching it's legs.
@PAYDAYSWAGGER8 жыл бұрын
+zeeosix my friend just bought one with a full yoshi exhaust on it and I'm going to try to do a video on it. Demo rides really limit riders when doing the test rides so I agree
@zeeosix8 жыл бұрын
Be careful out there ... the Busa will accelerate faster than it will stop due to the weight - typical of all sport bikes that are somewhat heavy. I've been riding Busas since 2000, so I know how this bike behaves.

for sure. thanks zeeo
