Ms. Kaneko is Hayato Sumino’s piano teacher for a long time. Thank you and we are very grateful for you sharing his early performances.

@Grace Noora. I am grateful to his teacher, too. I am sure she must be immensely proud of him. How fluidly he plays at only 16 years and is in such control of his tempo at all times.

@@byronjanislover here’s another hidden gem. His tv performance last year of Beethoven sonata no. 21, opus 53 or the “Waldstein sonata”, posted by coco nut918.

So, Sumino performed this when he was 15 years old; Masaya Kamei performed it when he was 19 years old. Once again, Hayato-San puts his signature on every piece he plays.

This in 2010 it says??? I think he wanted to be a pianist and be educated in math etc. Now at 26 he's reentering competition in the Chopin Warsaw piano competition. He should 👏 😮 the judges. He can play jazz with the best in japan, and, he plays Kapustin. Wow. Its a real hard competition and I'd be pleased if he is a laureate. Then his life in music is set. But, maybe?? he has other plans.

Funny, when I play le Campanella it doesn’t sound so grandiose. It must be my piano!?!!…….
