Hard to tell cuz everything is washed out in the vid but pretty sure the other guitarist is Robbie McIntosh. He’s a great great session guitarist who played a lot for the Beatles and other famous rock bands. Mayer has been scooping him up for tours since Where The Light Is 2008 probably even before that.

He’s hitting the harmonic 12 frets above the note he’s fretting, so in this case he’s doing a lot between the 15th and 17th fret. This is a pretty simple technique to do, just make sure you have a decent amount of gain and the side of your thumb hits the fret right on the wire.

Anyone knows a tutorial about that guitar right hand technique at 0:10? it looks like slap/tapping but I would love to see a tutorial sepcifically about that particular thing he is doing

Actually, it's very simple, but requires accuracy. So, basically you are tapping (hitting the fret wire) the fret that is higher by an octave, meaning +12 frets. Imagine you are hitting the note on 5th fret, so hit the 17 fret's wire and you will get the natural harmonic. It works for all the strings. Hope that helps.
