I used to play vgc all the way back in gen 7, and I was fairly good at it, but when gen 8 rolled around I quit due to a lack of interest. These videos over the last few months have really motivated me to learn singles gen 9 ou, which has led to me learning doubles ou. I now win with a roughly 95% ratio, and it finally gave me the confidence to reenter the vgc community for this generation. Tysm hayden!!

Hey Haydunn I know you already did a video on PorygonZ video but that duck still has more tricks I promise. This comes from his ability Download. If you invest him so his Attack and SpAttack are roughly equal, you can run dual coverage and have Download give you an Atk or SpAtk boost depending on whatever defensive stat is weaker on your opponent. The set I run is Double Edge or Zen Headbutt for physical, and then Tri Attack and another special coverage like Ice Beam. Tera Blast also synergizes very well with this, as if you run Tera Fighting and rip some Tera Blasts you can hit Steels and Rocks for big super effective hits no matter their defensive stats are. Pop a Choice Scarf on him to try to out speed everything whenever you switch in, and go to town.

A friend of mine just got a Scizor tattoo the other day, next to his Gengar tattoo, Scizor is one of the coolest and baddest looking Pokemon for years, used him in Pokemon Crystal together with mentioned friend and it dominated the school playground since we used a weird strat that we used in the Battle Tower with Baton Pass and Agility plus Swords Dance. Damn this Pokemon gives me good flashbacks. But anyway, look at the time, thanks for bringing back memories with the video, on to the next one!

Please use upper hand blaziken! Swords dance/bulk up Fire punch/flare blitz Brave bird/acrobatic Upper hand Maybe the flying coverage could be replaced with protect to ensure you get a speed boost but the idea with this set is that you outspeed everything and upper hand against priority and sweep!

Yesssss Scizor is my absolute favorite, has been since gen 2 (when he was nowhere good- I went to a Stadium 2 tournament way, way back with a Scizor nicknamed MrClamps that, for some reason, turned it a gold color. Agility, Swords Dance, Baton Pass baybee). My shiny boy is even better in gen 9 with Tera! You love to see it.

One of my favorite Scizor sets I've run is a full sp def set with leftovers, roost, and defog, but I still put swords dance and bullet punch on it for the occasional surprise sweeps

Sadly there’s barely anything from Galar in Gen 9. I really wish every new Pokemon for a generation would at least be in the next generation. All the Hisuian Pokemon are in Gen 9, but hardly any of the Galarian forms?

Everybody just says a pokemon that you should do but i have reasons. Please at least read this Haydunn cause you need to use Mismagius. Mismagius is one of my favorites and it's very underatted with high speed and high special attack and high special defense defense too. It has so much too it can support with moves like willo wisp, substitute, you can spec it and have trick to stop set up, icywind curse, thunder wave and destiny bond. You can also have it be a offensive threat with shadowball, dazzling gleam for coverage, hyper voice with throat spray to boost special attack, can also set up with nasty plot, dark pulse, thunderbolt, it can also run rest sets with sleep talk and rest. It can also find a place in snow, rain, and sun teams with moves that are boosted like mystical fire and thunder while also being able to set up all three options. It also has levitate which gives it normal, fighting, and ground resistances. It can also run assault vest to eat special moves. I put too much time into researching this so I hope haydunn sees this and uses some for inspiration cause that would be sick.

Question. Who here thinks that tera would look better if we had the crystal look but no hat, but the aura effect is more pronounced? I feel like the hat was something they had to do to indicate what type it was. Otherwise, it would be difficult to tell.
