Thank you for demonstrating ruler work on a domestic machine. I own the smaller pill box ruler and am thrilled to have learned how to use this ruler to quilt a large square block quilt. Do you have any suggestions on how to quilt large rectangular blocks?

Just like I used the pillbox with the 8 point method, you can use any oval, circle, or diamond to cover a large area. What's fun is all you have to do is measure the oval lengthwise and times it by 2 in order to know how large the design is going to be. For example, I'll choose a ruler that is 6" long for a 12" block.

The Handiquilter rulers are longarm style rulers so they will be 1/4" thick.
