I was the First Class purser on a Pan Am flight from Los Angeles to London, 40 years ago, and Hayley Mills was our passenger. She came on crying because she was leaving her sister in L.A. She was so charming and one of the nicest passengers I ever had the pleasure of serving.

I must have watched the, "Parent Trap," ten times in my life time or more. With Maureen O'Hara and Brian Keith. It was just a heart warming movie. It made my child hood. I loved Hayley Mills. She was so mischievous and beautiful. She hasn't changed. Good seeing her and her sister Juliet. Both were great actresses.

I remember reading a comment by Hayley once, in which she said that back then "the industry tried to keep children from growing up, , and now they make kids grow up too fast" which was completely true, giving them child parts as long as they possibly could then, and now giving them far too mature parts. Well said.

eileen martin LOVED it! I also loved a very early black and white movie of Hayley’s in which she co-starred with her father. It may have been her first. I think it was called something like “Tiger Bay,” where John Mills plays an escaped convict hiding in a boat and discovered by children. I fell in loved with her then. Like several other women commented here, I, too, would have named a daughter Hayley after HM had I ever had children.

Wonderful! So rare to see this two legends together. Thanks for sharing. In 1990 their father Sir John Mills took part in a charity gala at the London Palladium and I managed to get a seat at the back...to my joy I was seated behind Hayley and Juliet! One of the cutest things involving these two, is I saw a movie from around 1944 and it had John Mills as a man in an English village who adopted 2 orphan youngsters. The children were his real life daughters Juliet at about 4 years old and Haley at about 9 or so months. No mistaking them. I thought that was cute.

@@donnahilton471 I just tried to look it up and dont know the name of it. I only saw it once. I'm guessing it was from about 1944 to 1946. It was a b/w film. Maybe his oldest daughter got screen credit if she had lines. ? The movie "promise her anything", with Leslie Caron from 1966 had Donald Sutherland as a dad holding an infant at a baby clinic in Manhattan. The baby was about 6 months old and I'm sure it was Keifer Sutherland. Cute !
