Will there be a " Parent Trap 3"? yes, yes there will be as well as a "Parent Trap 4" and a reboot of the first " Parent Trap".

And the reboot's actually set in the same universe. It is technically a fifth film. "Vicki" is supposed to be the Vicki from the first film; it's even the same actress, Joanna Barnes.

Hayley Mills was supposed to be in the film, but she was in the middle of filming another film and it was back in Europe, and she couldn't take the time to fly back and forth due to a hectic schedule. So they asked Joanna Barnes to do a cameo and she said yes. TBH, I really got a kick out of Joanna doing her impression of Mrs. Robinson from the original. I saw it in the theatre and my reaction was "OMG, that's Vicky"... the woman sitting next to me jumped up in excitement when she realized it too. 😂

I liked Parent Trap and Parent Trap II but not the rest of the Haley Hills ones sadly. I did like the 98 version though :)

I still don't understand they never explained why Parent Trap ll she marries Tom Skerritt and has one daughter then 3rd one she has no kids and Tom Skerritt never existed. They totally pretended 2 never happened. Lol

Her name is Sharon Grand in 3 & 4, so they do reference the 2nd one. But we never really see her home life so it can just be presumed that her husband is taking care of the kids as Sharon only ever enters the plot for hijinks.

In the opening scene of Part 3, she (Sharon) makes a reference to her husband. What I thought was even stranger is that in the 3 years between 2 and 3, Susan - who had seemed happily married to Brian and with children- is now divorced and her kids are actually her stepchildren.

@@CraigJordanLA right... Susan said the man (Jeffery) was pushy, and Sharon said he was nice to her, Susan suggested a courtship before Sharon's flight, in which Sharon replied "I'll ask my husband". And in part 4 when Sharon was playing the part of Susan, Ray hands the phone to Sharon and said it's your husband, she takes the phone abs says "Hello, Bill?" referencing she's still married to Bill Grand. And Susan explains to Jeffrey, Casey, and Nick, in part 3, that she has stepchildren and they sometimes come to visit her.
