Thanks for this. My old city has changed so much but still seems like home to me. Would love to see Mission blvd, tennyson industrial, hesperian areas. Thanks again!

Yes, Hesperian! I grew up on Hawthorne Ave, went to Brenkwitz Elem and Rancho Arroyo Jr. High. Moved to Colorado so never went to hs at Mt. Eden. But I miss 1960 's California -- truly The Golden Years!

Reckless driving right by that Jetta at the beginning, really sets the tone for 880 and the East Bay 🤣

I've lived in Virginia for about 9 months and I was missing home so I wanted to see what would pop up if I searched it on youtube. This video made me so happy, man. You literally went to 95% of the areas I spent most of my life in. I really needed this video, man, thank you. It made me really happy. edit: And by the way, it looks so much nicer on camera, I promise haha

Thanks for both Hayward vids. The second one was a blast as you drove by my street, Tarman Ave. My parents bought their home in 1949, first tract homes in Hayward. I was last out in 2009. Both my parents are at Chapel of the Chimes.

This is my city. I half-expected to see myself when the camera vehicle cut through the Lucky parking lot, from B street to A street. I do my grocery shopping there, ad I always walk there.

Omg thank you so much ! I grew up in Hayward and I can’t believe how much it’s changed. The part where you did a U turn on Bst is right in front of where my great aunt used to live on.

If you can, could you please go for a hi def walk through the interior of the Cal State Hayward campus. It's like a botanical garden. Very peaceful and beautiful. I hope they are running the water fountains again. If you catch it at the right time of day, the Sun shines through the trees and it's like Heaven.

I lived in Hayward for quite a while. Aside from the auto theft, armed robberies, the running gun battles, and the drug crazed thieves, it was a quiet, pleasant place to live. I'm serious. I don't regret having lived in Hayward. But you have to be careful. I lived there because it was relatively affordable compared to say, the Peninsula. If you are sending your child to Cal State Hayward, no worries. They've got it covered. And for the record I was never personally accosted by a criminal in over a decade.
