Very interesting subject which could have a life time of work just scratching the surface. I'm sure he must also use the New Testament quotes and allusions of the Old Testament to shine more light on the study. A good example would be Psalm 22 which Jesus quotes while on the cross. There are variations that some instances agree better with the Hebrew and sometimes with the LXX. The DSS sometimes agree more with the LXX in this Psalm also.

Great point! As you say, he's just scratching the surface. So much to dig into here.

@@AcadiaDivinityCollege thanks for the comment. Speaking of scratching the surface, I was just reading in the first chapter of Hebrews about Jesus being the fullness of God's glory, and in the reproduction of the original 1611 KJV it has a marginal reference to the book of Wisdom from the apocrypha. Though I'm not thinking of the apocrypha as scripture, it might give some insight on the way a particular verse is worded differently.

@@guesswho6014 Very interesting. You should reach out to our New Testament professor about this. He may have some insights about this. You can find his contact information here: acadiadiv.ca/staff/matthew-walsh/
