When things hit you for less than 5 you should never not have 5 stacks of the buff at all times. You just gave to get hit once every 10 seconds. Always hitting that like button for ya man!

You should try out this build whenever you get the chance: The Acid Build. Parameters: - Driller - Subata - Acid Tips - Sludge pump - More Beams - Neurotoxin Grenade - Your choice for the fourth weapon. (Another Throwable works well here). - Take + Acid Damage whenever possible. - Take + Lifetime on Lasting weapons. - Take + Status Damage. Basically as much Acid as you can possibly get your hands on. DOT is huge for this build, I’d suggest turning DMG numbers off, and go for Move Speed, Mine Speed, Reload Speed. :))

Challenge suggestion: The Rage-Run. Any class, any sub class, any hazard level, any map. The catch: You can only pick the option you need the least or dislike the most for every choice. no rerolls.

Honestly, in regards to your comment about not always "making the best choice" ... I am of the opinion that in rogue-lites/rogue-likes, the "best" choice is every choice that leads to a win. Yes, that means that a given shop/upgrade offer might all be "best" choices. Might some be better for a specific meme/gimmick/challenge build? Sure, but if you still win? Best choice was made. I guess I look at these types of games as less of "grading scale" and more "pass/fail" lol. Also, grats on 8k! You absolutely deserve for that number be a few orders of magnitude higher. Your content is great. Always look forward to new stuff! 🙂

That's how I like to look at it also. Did we win? and also did we have fun? If either of those is answered with "Yes" then I'm ok with it 😎 I appreciate the min/max arguments but so many factors play into a roguelike run.

It's always nice to see the pause menu on the ramp of the final pick up to see where the stats ended up damage/crit/movement speed etc (and in this case armor.)

The juggernaut is my go to class, it’s really good for the higher hazards. For graphics, I found turning off the dmg numbers helped a bit

Nice vid, Tom! Edit: feel like some of the tier 2 overclocks need their values adjusted, a pure stat overclock (IE not changing damage type or adding a status effect or whatever) shouldnt be worse than an epic upgrade.

Though I love watching others play this game, I’m still hesitant to pick it up for myself. One major turnoff for me is the drop pod timer. I’d rather have the choice to risk my run on increasingly difficult swarms than be forced to leave behind tons of resources and XP - especially since I can’t necessarily control when the boss gets downed.
