I wouldn't mind a grappling hook to climb buildings manually not to be Rico Rodriguez from Just Cause. I dont know man. I honestly wanted a more solid grounded Battlfield experience. Hit everything seems different. I didn't see destruction. The game loom arcady AF instead of something closer to Battlfield 4 or BF1. The class system is irrelevant now with this "Specialists" system. Instead of the rockets and certain equipment being locked to to a class to make each class specific that no longer is a thing. A recom can have an LMG or an Assault Rifle. Everyone can have a rocket in their equipment slot and it honestly sounds like this game is trying to be Call of Duty and that's bad. I play Battlfield because its unique. It gives you more options. There's destruction. chaos and epicness happening on screen.. Hopefully the core gameplay is intact. These core changes sounds like they literally shift the entire gane into something else though. So I dont know. Hope it's good. But I would def like to see more gameplay soon..

Hazard Zone could be something you hinted, from the image the falling Satellite, which the first team to get the HVT and extract it like a Socom Style mode would do well, like a Hunt Showdown or Escape from Tarkov, since the fight doesn't end once you have the item. You must get your item/s back to the Aircraft Carrier to make it yours.

But guess what… other Battle Royales just copy off one another so non of them really have that quirky game mechanic. Remember Apex being the only BR with respawn? Now Warzone, PUBG and Fortnite have it. Fortnite is the only one that truly sets itself apart with the building mechanic but it’s absolutely the most annoying thing about the game… your skills with guns don’t matter if your enemy can just build non stop walls and a fucking maze so you can’t get to him and the only way is to either try and knock his building down and risk being shot or just keep going with the building until you both run out and die. It takes skill to be good with building, yes but the fact that that’s all that really matters is the most annoying shit… it’s not like Apex, Warzone or other BRs where it’s your situational awareness, map knowledge and how good you are with your weapon that matters.

An EFT style mode would literally be one of the best 'Only in Battlefield' game modes. having 3 man or 4 man squad gameplay that focuses on things like surviving the environment would make a lot of sense, especially in the context of this BF game. It's story is literally about the world going to shit because of a global crisis, one being related to resources. So I honestly believe an EFT style game mode would be amazing.

Take away that 1 little tiny "ring" mechanic, and you have _Hazard Zone._ How different is battle royale to co-op survival, honestly? I would LOVE a Bullet of Bullets style BR mode/game! It's such a shame every game out there that does BR sticks to such a narrow definition of the genre, and BoB's ruleset would be an awesome change of pace. For those unfamiliar: * There's no loot. Instead, everyone starts with their own personal gear, but you can take gear from dead players too. * There's no paradrop. Instead, you spawn on the ground at a random point on the map, with a minimum distance to any other player. * There's no shrinking circle. Instead, to keep players moving and fighting, there's a Satellite Scan every 15 minutes (it's meant to last hours, but obviously this is scalable) that displays the location of every player (think CoD UAV). You can hide from the scan by being inside a building or similar, but if you do, you don't get to see the scan.

Hey Flak, small correction. None of the vanilla maps are the size of PUBG's Vikendi. That was a mistake in one of Jackfrags videos. Breakaway is about 5.9 sq km. Vikendi is about 6 x 6 km, which is 36 sq km.

I have 2 theories: 1. It will be like Escape from Tarkov wherein if you get out with a powerful/unique item or gadget only available in that mode, you can use this. However, if you die in Hazard zone, you will lose that item/gadget and you have to get it again. 2. It will be like the last day in battlefield 5's grand operations. This only allows you to have 1 life and Ammo, Health and attachments are limited. I would say that mechanics from Battlefield 3's scavengers may also appear as well.

Tbh i want it to be more of like few factions go in and try to get a satellite's remain and try to escape from the island or area, they get clues or instrumebts to try to find it making a basically a battle royale with the circle getting smaller around the item and when someone grabs it it goes away until someone new gets it, so to win you escape or are the last one standing. Amd winning gives you a secret cutscene

My guess is that each squad launches from an Aircraft carrier and tries to recover the fallen satellite from the zone and bring it back to their carrier. I could see some cool gameplay stemming from this.

It'll probably be closer to the way hunt showdown plays out, squads must race to find the downed satellite to download information from it, you will have to defend the position while the information is being downloaded and players attempt to kill you. Once the data is downloaded you will than have to get to an extraction with the data, but players will know a rough location of where you are on the map, if they kill your squad they will steal the Hard drive with the data on it and than attempt to extract themselves.

I think seeing large loot caches guarded by AI would be interesting, instead of the AI roaming the map like players. Maybe even AI convoys traveling the map? The possibilities are endless. How about a BATTLE ROYAL ON A JUNGLE DINOSAUR ISLAND!!!!! I could see there being all types of dinosaurs. The key point I think is that they all should be hostile to some extent. Carnivore or Not. I could see 3 version of dinosaurs for variety. Base version ,Alpha version and then a Augmented version. Base dinosaur would be essentially the baseline animal. The alpha version would be an physically stronger and faster version. It could have hair ,spikes and may look more experienced with a variety of colors and scratches. Then the Augmented version should be essentially the peak version of each dinosaur with altered physicality and possibly some cybernetic parts. Imagine a Triceritops that can accelerate super fast and can climb up large ledges. or a Trex with significantly longer arms and horns. Or a Gigantisauraus that shoots a chain gun from its mouth. I think it could work with or without all the extra stuff.

Among the things that I worry about the specialist, my biggest fear is if part of the reason they are creating these specialist is to allow for game modes like a BR. That they are changing some of the core BF elements to fit these types of game modes. I am fine with them having these game modes but don't try to change current core modes to make them fit all modes. With rush in the past, I feel that is what killed it off. Instead of designing maps, etc., strictly for a game mode, they tried a "one size fits all" approach and it hurt all the modes. Hopefully the intent of the specialist is not that and they have it figured out.

I've always said that BR would actually be fun if they had objectives to fight over rather than the closing circle. The fact that you can pull a win by avoiding the fight most of the time.

My speculation: swarm of AI soldiers will fill the map as it gets longer then it gets worse as tornadoes and such will start to form. Last squad survive wins. (Ofc players can also kill each other)

BF V's BR failed terribly so they surely know that it's not the way to go in a multiplayer game

If its EFT style, I honestly might play that more than regular multiplayer. I love EFT, but only enjoy it at the beginning of the wipes when you can actually kill people, so this would be more similar to this likely.

I guess it is going to be a squad based mode with some kind of respawn. Battleroyale games need a lot of players, because half of the players die really fast and you are constantly creating and filing up new servers. To have the necessary amount of players the game has to be free. Call of Duty and Battlefield V both had pay to play Battleroyales, and they both failed to have the necessary amount of players to make it work. This is why I think they are creating something new, where you can play with your squad in an open BR fashion, but with respawn mechanics making the server usage more efficient and making it work for a paid game. CoD Warzone did something like that with the Plunder mode, where you have squad based high stake matches, but the stakes are not in the permanent death of the player, but the money they have. Maybe BF 2042 has some new cool idea like that.

Love letter to Battlefield veterans is most likely the Titan Mode. Just as sure the Hazard Zone is so much like Battle Royal that it technically is. My guesstimate is it's go in, grab loot, get out alive.

Their saying not battle Royale because that would hold them to having to provide constant updates to that mode and I'm guessing they don't want to use resources just for that. Plus with getting rid of single player they had to add something

I think that they are gonna have Hazard Zone be a capture the point or Hardpoint kind of thing, sense in your last vdeo about the lore; "Satilites are crashing into eachother and falling to the earth". Which that blue thing kinda looks like a something crashing to the earth to me. And also have other objectives to complete such as a hook up to a black box or something.

I actually liked Firestorm, not perfect but fun. A BF mode that would raise tension and provide those palm sweating moments would be a mode where when you die you can only spectate until an event such as a squad/ team mate getting an objective and only then could you spawn.

I'm cool if they somehow do a Tarkov style mode. I just don't know how they would anything with loot or losing gear or any of that aspect of EFT. Honestly this mode is the only thing I'm really excited for. I've been so tired of the typical multiplayer loop of spawn, kill, die, repeat. Thats the real reason I like the BR formula. It makes things a little more tense and exciting when playing for me at least.

As someone who plays Tarkov and Battlefield, DICE will never make anything close to what Battlestate Games does. I do think that if the mode plays out similarly ei. No respawning, limited healing, free for all style and multiple extracts, Hazrdzone could be amazing.
