I’m surprised Angel Dust and Sir Pentious wasn’t on her. It’s a small relationship than they have with others but I feel it’s an underrated one. Yeah it started off bad with turf wars, Pentious lying about his motives for coming to the Hotel, and Angel having no problem trying to kill him when he was caught, but episode three starts to grow their bond through trust exercises and Pentious giving his gratitude when Angel saves him after Vaggie threw them off the roof to fight as comrades. The two have respect for the other even if it starts falling into the background for a couple episodes. Angel does pull him into the hug with expressing they were staying to help fight, smiles as Pentious’s remark, and acts as a sorta wingman for him when he noticed Pentious’s crush on Cherri. He also shows a lot of concern when Pentious goes to fight Adam, tells him he did good when Adam vaporized Pentious, and is seen teary eyed during his salute. Not the healthiest given how it started, but it got around to being good at the end

Fun fact: Alongside Charlie and Sir Pentious wholesome friendship, there’s subtle hints in the background on certain scenes (when Alastor is talking to Nifty about the gang) which imply Sir Pentious opened up to Charlie about liking Cherry Bomb And another background hint is when Sir Pentious attempts to tell his feelings to Cherry Bomb but wishes her good luck in battle instead, with Charlie looking happy he’s talking to her before being pushed away by Vaggie in the background The two are truly wholesome and it’s such a nice friendship to see, the fact there were background details to show that made it so much more adorable

We can all see the most toxic relationship from miles away. God poor Angel Dust. I do love Masquerade though as difficult as it is to watch. It’s just such a good portrayal of SA and domestic abuse as well as probably what the adult film industry is like. It’s heartbreaking to watch but at the same time it’s so amazingly written. I watch a lot of true crime shows on TV with my mom and I’d say about 80% to 85% of the stories we hear on those shows deal with SA. The fact a fictional tv show can get me crying every time I watch means the writing and voice acting is just phenomenal. Poison is also my favorite song from season 1. The song itself is 🔥. With the visuals from the episode it’s utterly 💔. Absolutely nothing is left to the imagination and we see every bit of the pain and torture poor Angel Dust is put through.

Yeah there’s some dynamics that aren’t explored, like the fact that Nifty, while feared and/or babied by everyone isn’t disliked nor does she have an issue with anyone “I really like them sir.” She also has a surprisingly healthy one with Alastor. I mean yeah, he owns her but she doesn’t mind and she’s one of the few people he’s genuinely honest and kind to. Although charlie and vaggie are an extremely cute couple with minimum flaws everyone brushes past the fact that vaggie literally feels useless without her introducing a system of dependency like she shouldn't exist without her partner. It almost feels forced in a way too since they make up so quickly as if prefering to just brush past something instead of facing it head on. Like they're doing each other a favor. I think you might have also forgotten Charlie and Emily’s relationship. They haven’t interacted TOO much throughout season 1, but it’s enough to assume it’s a pretty healthy relationship. From the very beginning, we can see that Emily is thrilled to meet Charlie and completely agrees with her dreams and goals about rehabilitation, even going so far as to defend Charlie at Heaven Court, essentially going against all of Heaven and aligning herself with Charlie, which Sera warned could result in Emily following Lucifer’s fate as a fallen angel if she wasn’t careful with her next decisions, which is probably the only reason Emily didn’t do much to help Charlie after episode 6. Despite this, however, it’s safe to assume Charlie and Emily have a very healthy relationship and I can’t wait for them to interact with each other more in season 2.

Pentious and Angel also have a sorta healthy relationship. They didn't start off on great terms. In the pilot they were enemies, though Angel did sexually tease the snek boi. Next time they met, Angel did not trust him, not that I blame him, but after Charlie saw that the serpent really felt remorse for the near betrayal, Angel started warming up to him too, helping save Pentious, and encouragine his friend to consider him a partner in the last episide.
