i have had the 916hpl for almost 4 years now. It has just been rattling around in my heavy toolbag for work and i have made sure not to treat it well, i have used 3 ft of pipe on the end at times for even more leverage and it does not even break a sweat. while Hazet is my favorite, i still prefer the Gedore u-10 for the lack of backdrag. sure the Hazet has better backlash, but i prefer the lack of backdrag over backlash. i agreee, amazon is crazy cheap

I agree with you. I also like the Gedore one but hiper series from Hazet I always pick first. Some time amazon give some amazing offers.

How many inches of drive do the ratchet arms at 5 and 6 from the beginning have? I saw on Amazon that 1/2 inch ratchet arms are also available in slightly smaller than normal ones.

I did not understand the first part of your question. But there are 4 different length of ratchets available in 1/2" drive. There is now also 1/2" ratchet in 3/8" body in Hiper series

Tricky to answer, all three are topclass brands and they all are made in Germany for the most part. Personally, I like Hazet ratchets, Stahlwille wrenches and speciality tool from Gedore.
