I love the secret fact that Hazzors content slips through the cracks of an alternate apocalyptic universe into ours and even though it is safe for the most part outdoors on our side, we still get to feel a sliver of that wonderful comfort he provides in the dim fading electric light to those poor souls

Take your contruction hammer and go to the southern most shape group it has. That's your natural land and one of them is a large block. If you right click it destroys instead of building so you can remove larger swathes of land easily.

Coloring glass always uses the opposite color material to create whatever tint you are looking for according to something my buddy said like 2 decades ago one time while talking about Roman stained glass. Probably worth googling before repeating. Yellow is opposite of purple on the color wheel though

As far as im aware, the items dont despawn, so you can go level up and prepare more to go retrieve your items. You also keep all the stuff thats necessary to go fight for your stuff back.

This is classic game design that has been thoroughly playtested across the years. It seems to work really well for most people in most cases. If you really believe you have specific insight to share that might change the course, go for it.
