Melee commentators are the only ones who can get away with non stop screaming in your ear, the occasional curse word, and nobody gives a damn it makes it more hype. We have moments like “Happy Feet, Wombo Combo”… from Melee commentators screaming into the mic because it’s so hype. Melee should never change that. If they have to make the streams 18+ do it.

You're pretty much right, for teh kids. As the melee scene gets bigger they need more money from outside sources, and advertisers just aren't too fond of swearing because they see it as "unprofessional" or as a bad influence for children. American media (more specifically advertising companies) lag pretty far behind in their acceptance of standard usage of spoken English. But rest assured, swearing is very standard here especially in a "non-swearing"/"not insulting" way to add character and impact to what you say
