Leffen is 100% leaving Melee when project L comes out. He's already incredibly invested in that game setting up connections and relationships with the devs etc, only think on his youtube in absolute ages has been Project L. Like Street Fighter and Tekken and Guilty Gear Riot will absolutely put out events their own big events bigger than Evo for the game's pros, and I'm guessing he has gotten enough clarification/cues that a top player in that game will be paid quite handsomely Think this next year or two will be the last we see of Leffen in melee tourneys, be ready to say goodbye

To all the people who only play melee I'll just let you know execution wise Happy Chaos is not the easiest. He has a lot of resource management. He only gets 6 shots and then must reload and he has to have concentration for if he runs out when he shoots it'll usually just miss. Add in the fact that you have to know when to go in or play back with the character, what to do with meter (dump for super to get either a free reload and damage, or cancel a normal). I will say not to take anything away from Leff because he was playing great. A lot of the top players are Japaness and seems they didnt come out for this or played another game. Either way congrats Leff im sure you would have crushed anyone in your path last weekend

@@Henwin100 Guilty Gear strive was designed to be significantly easier & watered down compared to previous games. Almost all of the historically best Guilty Gear players from previous titles don’t even play strive at all. On top of that the top Japanese players that do play strive didn’t even travel this year, so they weren’t there. A lot of the top American Strive players were focused on SF6 since it was the new game at the time. GGST had third highest entry numbers because a lot of ppl say “fuck it” and just entered the game cuz they’re already at EVO but everyone was actually more focused on SF instead. The cherry on top is that Leffen was playing the best character in the game that won last EVO, so saying he shit on elitist GG players isn’t true because elitist GG players don’t even play Strive in the first place lol He played well but this would be like if Justin Wong beat Mang0 in Nickolodeon Brawl or some shit

Like lets be honest Leffen wouldn't beat sonicfox at MK or Injustice but those two are basically the same game, its like comparing melee and ultimate. And believe me I am a sonicfox fanboy. I would say that Sonicfox is the most dominant player in the games he plays but Leffen is the overall best fighting game player. A phrase I saw that sums it up was from back in the day when Hbox was the top melee player for like 4 years and it was a quote saying "If an alien race came down and said we want to face your best melee player we would send Hbox, however if the aliens came down and said we challenge you to a game of melee and if you lose then we will destroy your planet, in that case we would send armada."
