I recently found out about Brig. Alasdair Loudon because he was the CO of the 1st Battalion at Hong Kong during the 1997 handover. He seemed to be a good man and a grateful man to his job. The British Empire was built on a foundation of people like Brig. Alasdair Loudon.

A good man and an excellent officer. I had the privilege of serving with him in Kosovo 2001-02. Rest in Peace, Alasdair!
