It's crazy how much her voice can fluctuate within such a short period of time. She almost sounded music box/daydream in beacon theater in 2014

Its because of ver nodules if one day she for whatever reason sleep less than she should her voice can drastically change. people with nodules have very inconsistent voices. But if she rests and properly warms up she can still be the great songbird supreme

Im crying because this is the greatest thing ever. Her belts from 2016 are so raspy but there's something i love about it. No one can even say that she's lost her upper chest register because look at this! Thank you for this video.

YASSS! She sounds so much better now than she did in 2013 & 2014. There are a few raspy belts in 2016, but overall clear. TGIFY is EVERYTHING! Amazing video!

This should show other artists how hardworking she is and to some people too who have a lot negative things to say on her voice! She had been singing not stop yet don't understand that she's actually somehow damaging her voice because we all know she needs a lot and I mean a lot of time to rest!

When I hear her singing, I feel like she's not doing something confortable, her voice gives me a sense of tension.. I don't know why. So my opinion is that she WAS an amazing singer, a pro, but now, it's useless trying to find her good notes.. Even her runs are floppy sometimes.. Vibrato is inexistent sometimes.. But her whistles are good.. I hope she will improve but I'm not so sure she will. This is my opinion.

I knew she had nodules since she was young.. I understand that she's older now and she has been singing for a long time, even with nodules, but i think she should sing something she can arrange with her actual voice, but for some reasons she has always liked to hit her highest notes and go to the limit, and it's probably for that she's now like this, and she uses a lot playback

When u mean her highest note u mean her signature F#5 ? Those are effortless from her and she sings them with healthy technique back then if u had healtly technique ur vocals should be fine just look at Barbra but then again aging does play in and on top of that Mariah has her nodes being a bitch I wonder y she doesn't get them removed she wouldn't have to go thru that struggle or have her notes sound different

Mmmh maybe. Anyway during her prime era she hit higher notes than f#5, and used to whistle a lot.. she abused her voice so much, even whispered vocals are really dangerous if you abuse them.. she liked to be a number one vocalist, doing rare things with her voice and singing it perfectly, but even with a perfect technique, if you continuously try to give your best, one day you'll loose the voice.. and now we can hear the results. But i can't say she never had to do what she did during her first years in the business because she gave herself an incomparable reputation, she gave chills to anybody in the world and made amazing songs. I'm just saying we can't deny she abused too much her own instrument.
