I got this CC two years back as my first card from HDFC that too first year free while my salary was just 1.2LPM and at that time I only had Amazon Pay ICICI card with a limit of 1Lakh only. And I got 8 Lakh Limit from HDFC.

I have Infinia and I don't think the info regarding accelerated rewards you provided is correct. The daily cap of 7.5k on accelerated rewards was removed long back. There's just the monthly cap of 15k.

It is silently getting devalued by putting a cap gyftr. It was unlimited sometime back for amazon voucher, now reduced to 10k per month and big basket limit is capped at 1.5k. Making a joke out of the card

I don't think so..but talk to your RM, they'll force you to buy some insurance plan and against that they'll issue card. I have got likewise and I know they have done same with many others

If you have an Imperia Salary account and meet the annual spend criteria of 10L you can get it effectively as LTF. For the first year, they had set spending criteria of 3L in the first 3 months, once that is met no joining fees were charged. For the next 12 months, you have to meet the 10L criteria. That's all.

No comparison between them, at all. ICICI emeralde private is pretty crappy when compared to Infinia. No accelerated rewards, no loyalty partners to transfer to (I think Air India is added now, not sure) and also, HDFC has a lot more options to redeem the points. When Accor was 1:1 transfer partner, you would get 1.8rs per point value actually (1 Accor ALL point is around 1.8rs)
