Don't call it a comeback. He ran a good pace while everyone else went out too fast. Very common in a big 800 field when people want good positioning. Tradeoff was that he had to run around them all while passing, but maintained his target pacing and won. Great job. Smart running.
@piggy6801
@piggy6801 Жыл бұрын
Not what happened. What happened was he got a yellow card like 30 seconds prior because he false started, so once everyone was called back he was just trying to be very careful not to false start again and in turn got a bad start. This actually didnt save him any energy and in fact made him waste way more as he had to go all the way out to lane 2 on the curves and also had to speed up a lot to pass everyone. He only won because he was by far the class of the field and was in much better shape than everyone else, not because of his tactical decision making
@nickryan4346

he learned from his past mistake of going out too fast, he started the meet of champions with a 49 second lap and then ran a 62 second lap to get like third

@@piggy6801 I disagree. 25 second first 200 is blistering. He ran his race and didn't get sucked into what everybody else was doing. And having to run in lane 2 isn't as bad as people make it seem.
