@jjmah73 жыл бұрын
@Get3Blocked actually yes, but only because Microsoft kinda sucks. When you set the output too high the screen looks like crap. It COULD be that the games released so far can’t handle that output as well, but for now - this does seem to be the best settings. Btw I’ve run into not one of these issues on my PS5. Even though under the hood the Series X appears to be stronger, as of right now the PS5 is the superior machine.

@@Mr_Zod some what you said is flat out incorrect, but nothing you mentioned have been shown to make it superior. Many of the major releases that have been released on both consoles have been performance tested by Digital Foundry, and almost all of them run better on PS5, they attribute a lot of the reasoning being that Sony made a custom SSD that is just better. All the other ‘power levels’ that are better on paper have yet to be fully realized as of now. Maybe they will be in the future, but as of now games both look and perform better on PS5. Maybe next time you should try to not look at Microsoft propaganda and look at the actual data results from testing before you spout out your bullshit.

The CO is the only display that can use all new features. The fact that sony picked forum VRR is going to be a major issue with HDR. Better off waiting two or three years until devs get familiar with the new consoles while much better displays like micro led and quantum dot oled are out. from my understanding neither essentially LCD displays with an old display in front to increase the brightness of OLED while maintaining the deep blacks. If your going to buy anything at the moment I would get a good gaming monitor as they have been building up to this for years, which is why gsynch ultra or premium is only available on the x box series x for that reason. HDR and VRR is it going to be a nightmare for the PS5. Long video but very technical details of why HDMI 2.1 does not matter at all right now. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3Wuhmt7btd9hcU

@@JohnjOcampo I think people who are not interested in this could also stay with the PS4 and whould be equally happy. All games and applications internally render in full range RGB. The conversion to limited range Standard on the Xbox would be an additional degrading step at the end. The C9 / CX with PC icon supports end-to-end full range RGB / Black Level High without internal YUV conversion. When the Xbox is capable of perpetually running in 10-bit full range RGB mode for both HDR and SDR, I don't understand why you recommend limited range Standard over full-range RGB in the C9 / CX video. If that video was not targeted towards C9 / CX owners, I'd agree.

I think it's obvious. Limited works with all video content like bluray, so you don't need to switch the settings on console when you want to watch a movie. For games it doesn't really matter, they will look the same.
@MonstieurVoid4 жыл бұрын
@@rafamuniak You don't need to switch. The player expands limited range videos to full range correctly. If you use limited, the same thing just happens on the TV instead, since virtually all LCD and OLED panels are natively RGB.

1-Can you explain better why if you disable "allow 4k" you will automatically lose HDR10? It's correlated to the bandwidth downgrade? 2-have you noticed the gamma issue problem with vrr ? 3-wouldn't be better DISABLING VRR AT ALL? The majority of games on consoles have locked fps at 30 or 60, there is no need of a variable refresh rate technology at all, in fact i think that disabling it would benefit a better fluidity by remaining at 120 hz, the tv would repeat frames to match the frequency as it has always been on any console with any tv! 4- thanks for your work! You're the most reliable and knowledgeable person for tvs on KZbin 🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻

I've confirmed with multiple disk and multiple resets of TV and console. Sometimes it will get 15-20 minutes into a movie before the black screen pops up. Console and TV have been fully updated.
