I find that anonymity problematic. It makes equitable communication very difficult between someone with and without hijab. More than 50% of communication is non-verbal. Anonymity also enables absolving responsibility. If you believe in a God, the only thing you know for sure, is that they made you and the universe the way you/it are/is. All the rest is up for debate, as books are written by humans. You'll never know for sure what parts of your holy book were made up by men wanting to control, and what parts may have come from your God. Also, if a God made the universe, then that's the message. There is no need to write in a book how to live. The universe and your intuition will tell you. The universe would be the most splendid creation of all that is there to know and submit to. A book is clearly inferior to the universe.

I made a promise to Allah if he helped me I would serve Him for the rest of Life. right after my prayer which I did in shujoot which I had no idea was how we pray . Subhaalah Allah my prayer was answered immediately. Its been a very rough road but Alhamdulillah I educated myself before I did it. My daughter took shahada on her 7th birthday on her own alhamdulilah. Please people stop giving fatwahs from yourself and find them and post them from the teachings of Allah and Prophet Mohammad (peace and blessing be upon him ) Check yourselves out before you say something that is incorrect. My ex husband is Muslim, I've also been to Baghdad Iraq where he was from, you don't see many muslim women covering their faces, most wore the same clothing as myself, my husband said it doesn't say in the Koran that women must cover their faces, only to cover their hair and to wear clothing that covers their body, no low tops, short skirts etc

Hijab and niqab are 2 different things. Hijabs don’t cover their whole face, niqabs cover everything but the eyes. Niqabs can pose as a security risk as you only see their eyes and therefore you can’t really tell who is under there. Anything that poses as a security risk shouldn’t be allowed in workplaces or schools or transport stations. Im not surprised it affected her employability and it has nothing to do with her religion - no employer wants to hire someone that poses a potential security risk to staff and/or customers.

İf she lived in a society where this type of tradition is practiced, it's absolutely fine to look like the rest of them but living in the west and dressed up like that can only intensify the bad looks and critics from other dissidents. Dressing up in this way cuts a woman off any reaching out to other non Muslim women once and for all. This is not asked of any woman in Islam but in the contrary it encourages new Muslims to keep contact with others and give the best example possible. Basically we're all ambassadors of Islam and the more different and exotic we look, the wider is the separation with non Muslims. Islam encourages moderation followed by good exemplary actions. We should be part and parcel with the society we live with and try to reach out to the others whenever possible. Either by action or by example. Have you ever seen Christian missionaries in Africa or in the Arab world how they're dressed? Their garments are similar to the natives of the country they visit. Have you ever wondered why?
