That was Thomas Keller at the beginning of the episode. One of the legendary chefs in the world with multiple restaurants, but that was at the French Laundry in Napa.

For a second, I thought it was Malcolm McDowell.

Keller has the distinction of being the only American chef in the world to simultaneously own two 3 Michelin star restaurants - The French Laundry in Napa Valley and Per Se in New York City. He owns a third restaurant in Miami called The Surf Club which has 1 Michelin star.

That’s because there was NEVER and NEVER will be anything romantic/sexual between Carmy & Sydney.
@Lfeodorovna4 ай бұрын
@@nejoudtourki6000 yeah i wanna say i kinda understand what the shippers find appealing cause yes they do have chemistry and at carmy's high points they've had a great partnership but he's got way too many low points where he just entirely forgets how to value sydney and that cancels out them few moments y3ni it's been going on for seasons now and i couldn't be less attracted to him and the idea of him being that type of partner for her
@nejoudtourki60004 ай бұрын
@@Lfeodorovna see this is exactly the problem with shipping them in their first place. 1) they have the chemistry of friends, mentor/mentee, teacher/student, they do NOT have the chemistry of a couple at all and literally do NOT have any sexual chemistry at all. 2) this whole show is NOT about Sydney , its about Carmy, his mental illness, mental illness in general, about how men deal with mental illness, how women deal with as well, it’s about food, it’s about taking a minute and embracing life as is the good & the bad and finding balance within yourself, it’s about family and the trauma of family and most importantly it’s about pursing one’s dream and the hurdles a person goes through to accomplish said dream…..it’s about a LOT of things However it’s NOT about Sydney, the show is called the BEAR, the restaurant is called the BEAR. It’s mostly about the Berzatto family. NOT the Sydney bullshit drama. 3) Sydney is NO angel, she does NOT walk on water and honestly she’s getting way too much love & praise for literally doing the minimum effort. She NEVER valued Carmy or everything he has done FOR her since S1 up until S3 when he’s finally focusing on what HE wants for once. It’s HIS restaurant, HIS Uncle’s money, HIS connections, HIS vision, HIS skills, HIS years of experience that got the whole staff & the restaurant to where it is today, Sydney literally did NOT contribute anything at all, she was NOTHING more and nothing less than a MANAGER that IS IT. 4) you & all the other will keep hating on carmy and how “badly” (he doesn’t) he treats Sydney because you’re viewing this brilliant show as a stupid romance show (there plenty other shows out there for romance go watch one of them) 5) has carmy been crazy this season YES, but that’s the WHOLE POINT, he’s such a genius at what he does that’s driving him to “insanity”, he’s hitting his breaking point this season. This season was literally about the people of this show including majorly Carmy and how his mental health is at his worst this season.

@@Lfeodorovna y3ni Sydney NEVER appreciated carmy NOT once, not since she came in to HIS restaurant. On her first week on TRAIL, she was telling him how to run HIS own restaurant, she did NOT respect him as a boss or as a chef when he told her the dish was NOT ready, she then proceeded to literally fuck things up for him none stop in 1x07 1) with e review, which the guy focused on HER dish rather than the SANDWICH and how MUCH BETTER they’ve gotten because of Carmy, people were ordering the risotto on the phone which was NOT available so she literally made Carmy’s restaurant all about her 2) she fucked up the pre-order because she left to open and the whole kitchen was going CRAZY because of YET another mistake she made 3) she dropped one of Marcus’s cakes because she did NOT say corner NOR did she do anything with them (so I don’t understand why she took them in the first place) 4) she literally disrespected Carmy’s orders to let Richie help her with the salad/whatever perp. 5) she was a bitch to Richie calling him names and dragging HIS own daughter stating his poor daughter knows he’s nothing 6) then she stabbed Richie even though supposedly she’s a “very” good chef 7) then she LEFT Carmy in the chaos she CREATED and called him a piece of shit.

It’s the way that I’ve talked to AT LEAST 15 different people from entirely different film/tv likings and everyone has said that it’s the weakest season. However- what I really like is that people are saying it’s the weakest season of the series but not one person has said it’s bad. It’s good tv- just not up to par with the previous seasons, which speaks volumes about how good the show is. Season 4 will def determine the success of this show moving forward.

Plots/topics that I personally believe are still unresolved: - Claire and Carmy resolving their relationship - Cicero’s money (paying him back and him being able to pay) - Donna and Carmy talking finally - Michael’s death (bc they haven’t closed this out since ep 1) - Sydney deciding between The Bear and the new restaurant - Richie and his kid sitch - The review - Getting a star for The Bear - characters like Marcus, Ibra, etc haven’t gotten their own story
@saraismyfriend4 ай бұрын
this comment is wild. obviously the review is unresolved, it’s literally introduced as a cliffhanger during the last 10 seconds of the episode. what resolution do you expect for richie and his daughter? it’s a father-daughter relationship - there is no resolution, it’s just something that consistently gets worked on as people grow and change. also why would they close out michael’s death? it’s what the show stems from and affects each character.

if they deliver with season 4 and build off this season i can see rating it higher for sure. just felt like a lot more should've been done, especially given each episode is less than 50 minutes. overall not a filler season and not bad but could have been a lot better imo.
@lukesmith32404 ай бұрын
Can see Sydney, Will & Marcus breaking away to launch a competing restaurant. Sydney copying and even elevating anything Carmy has presented prior. Bring on season 4. I love the Bear, this was the weakest season - i didn’t like the tedious haunting, John Cena cameo..It needs to stay true to what made season 1&2 so good. Season 2 was up there with the best of breaking bad IMO. Fav’ episode for me was the back story of Tina - superb!
