@@HughJorgan1 I was lucky enough to buy tickets to Round 2 Game 3 against Calgary in 2022 and we beat Calgary 4-1 with a hat trick from Kane (whose jersey I was wearing to the game 🤟) and it was my favourite game I've been to in person so far. Was a blast finally getting to see a playoff Battle of Alberta game. Was also Calgary's last season before Tkachuk and Gaudreau left so it was a really good series. So yes, I would LOVE to play anyone besides the Kings for a change. Would love to see Vegas fall right off, but I don't see that happening again.

Somehow though the defenceman knocked it out of the air, robbing Leon of a tie for the Rocket Richard trophy with Ovi. So so close... Hopefully this year he keeps up the scoring. Maybe 60 goals? Wouldn't that be cool

Ekholm-Bouchard and Kulak-Stetcher are both solid pairings, and Nurse is at least good at blocking the rush, so all he needs is a good shutdown defense to stabilize him and they'll be solid. Skinner should hopefully also be back come playoff time.

The trophy Drai should absolutely be the leader for right now, but likely isn't because the Eastern media is biased and doesn't watch Western games, is the Selke. Drai plays in all the most critical moments and still leads the league in +/- while delivering on the offensive side as well. Drai does it all.

I agree, he plays well. But again, the Oil look like they don`t have it this year. They thought they have fixed their top 6 with Jeff Skinner, and he`s a bust. It did cost the Holloway, who plays excellent for STL in a 2nd line role. Has 14G and 17A for 31 pt and is +8. Compare that to Skinner. Again, they can`t get two solid lines together around McD and Drai. And look at their D. They would need an elite 2nd pair RD.

They're a team that has had years of playoff success. They've proven this core has what it takes now it's a matter of getting the right cast around them and luck(which every winning team needs).

Also, it should be noted that MacKinnon (and Rantanen) is going to demolish the NHL record for empty net points in a single season this year. The record is 14, he's already at 12, exactly halfway through the season. Draisaitl is at 3 empty net points, and would be first in the league with points if we excluded all empty net points. That's not a be all, end all stat, but worth keeping in mind looking at MacKinnon's point totals.
