Former Army Airborne Scout that was assigned to support “Training” for an another foreign military. I took a bullet in the leg and had to have 3 teeth removed because of the a knife wound (hand to hand) where i had to remove the threat on a “military advisory” mission. I have been waiting for 2+ years in the VA system trying to get my teeth replaced but because I was into in a declared combat zone, i may not be eligible. I would do it again for citizens like you. Spend it in the gym, doing your taxes, go shopping for socks and underwear (trust me on that one, new socks and underwear can change your day), whatever you need done for yourself…. Not the daily things, something that adds value to your life…. Learn to blacksmith, learn to code, learn to juggle, learn to bake…. whatever you do, make sure it’s for yourself…. Self care does not look a specific way, because we all need different things If you don’t think you are worth 7 hours a week, then you need to pretend you are worth it until you do…. Yes, as corny as it sounds, the more solid investments you make into yourself, the more your self worth will raise….
