I passed my test but still sticking around to learn new things/ideas/techniques 😊

I'm from Croatia so my advice might be null and void, but... Drive solo, start small, be it a cafe or to pick up a friend real quick. Work your way up, but keep it to your own pace, if you feel a 5 min drive around your area is too little, go further. When you come back home think about what went wrong but more importantly what went well, improve from there. My most useful tip would be: RELAX, you passed, no one is breathing down your neck, all the other drivers on that road have passed ages ago and have probably seen way worse than you not sticking to your position perfectly or shortcutting a roundabout. Practice makes perfect so the more you drive the better you'll get. My thing is I like driving solo, if you drive with someone then you're "relying" on them, the word rely is a bit overkill but if you can drive chill solo then you can drive chill with others.. they're distractions, so is the radio. Good luck stay safe ❤❤

I passed my driving test first time yesterday! I started learning to drive in October 2024 (with my dad) as soon as I bought my car. I booked and passed my theory test first time in December 2024. And I am proud to say my new year's resolution to have a full license in 2025 is fulfilled before February even begins! I never spent a penny on driving lessons and your videos were definitely helpful in terms of knowing what the examiner will be looking out for, allowing me to save the money on updating my car insurance instead! Thank you for the amazing content!

I initially booked a random driving test as soon as I got home with my theory pass certificate and waited until Monday morning to find cancellations - I could only manage to find earlier dates in Exeter. Finally, I was able to book a test for the beginning of January but it got rescheduled (which put it around 2 weeks later to the 24th) due to the examiner no longer being available. But I can still say after yesterday's test I have a full license in January 2025!

And I already took my first solo drive on my pass day - to and form work - it was pretty nerve-wracking but I stayed pretty calm. I had the destination set and managed to get home safe at the end of the day. I'll continue to watch your content as I have a lot to learn and will be working on building my confidence.

It really is true what they say - you continue learning even after passing your test. I've learnt so much in the past few months being on the road, little quirks that you only get in your local area. Like where to signal late to avoid confusing others and where to watch out for people not merging in turn correctly, things you won't be taught on lessons.

I passed 18m ago but health wise don’t drive too far but today did an 80 mile round trip to get a tattoo (as you do!) Loved driving in the sunshine on all the open scenic country roads across to Shrewsbury. I keep following to gain tips and for the great content, loving seeing all the different test centres🙂

Moving off without a blind spot check could also result in a serious or dangerous fault depending on what happens when the candidate moves off from the side of the road.

I live in Newcastle. Will you be getting to Gosforth Test Centre? It took me 5 times to pass my test there. I drive past it occasionally and it still gives me shivers through my spine watch all the “lambs go to slaughter”. It’s got below a 50% pass rate and many people fail at the first hurdle just getting out of the test centre It’s based right opposite a main road with a 40mph speed limit and it’s so hard to get out meaning if you miss your opportunity you wait ages! It’s a nice enough test centre, though and based in a large industrial estate because it’s also the test centre for HGVs.

That's rough.. silly mistakes happen but makes for a good title 😂 Got my car back, after pouring the wrong gas in it, mechanic managed to fix it.. the picasso really is different from most cars, I managed to drive it 50km and the engine is fine as always.

I wouldn't consider driving on the wrong side of the road a silly mistake
@DrivingSchoolTV9 күн бұрын
It was quite a silly mistake for someone who can drive but shows how flipping road sides can cause confusion but that title wrote itself 🤣 glad you didnt blow up your dads picasso and it's now fixed!

@@brianuuuSonicReborn It happened once at the very start of the test, which I assume was his first time driving on UK roads. get a grip

@Jon-mt1nz oh plz, I didn't say I don't empathize that mistake, but it shouldn't be treated as "just a silly mistake either"

Hi, I have held my license for 5 months now but something has still confused me about roundabouts where there is no sign or lane markings. Does the twelve 'o clock rule only apply to road signs or does it apply to the actual physical position of the roundabouts? (information that i would know due to satnav display)
@somerandomguywastaken9 күн бұрын
Sometimes its literally impossible to know. It doesnt look wide enough for 2 lanes and going forward from left feels sketchy
@wrightwoodwork9 күн бұрын
General rule is after 12 indicate right. It doesn't matter about signs or road markings. Its to do with showing people you are going past junction. So 1st signal left even if it's straight as it let's people know you are taking the 1st exit 2nd exit no signal on approach then signal to leave if going past the 12 then signal right. If it was say 1 o'clock on approach and you are taking that exit i wouldn't signal on approach but signal to leave. Think if you took the roundabout away and would you signal right to take that junction or not .if you would then signal right. The right signal is to inform people people you are going past the straight ahead junction. So use when going past the straight ahead junction to discourage people from entering from that junction
@DrivingSchoolTV9 күн бұрын
Hey good question if you're approaching the roundabout and you cant see any signs you can normally still see across it to see if the road you want to exit on is on the right, left or straght from where youre starting. hope that helps!

The first mistake when he was on the wrong side of the road as he did not impact any other road user that should be a minor fault really, not enough to fail the test. (Sarcasm)
@somerandomguywastaken9 күн бұрын
That's definitely a serious. That'd be like saying going on the motorway on the wrong side is ok as long as noone else is on that side. And worse, he didn't even understand after he was told. He said "aren't we going right"
