That house would rent for over $1,500+ in my hometown USA! The Best thing we ever did was RETIRE in the Philippines. If we stayed in Pennsylvania I would have to work Full time and my pension would be spent by the 1st of the month. Living here in the Philippines I can save $$. But honestly, that's for living the same in a different country and doesn't make sense. Province life in Mindinao is simple and not expensive So many wonderful places there. 20 minutes from civilization, coffee shop, mall, no problem!! Enjoy your retirement !!!! Very positive comment BTW, we need more of those

It's a lot cheaper living in the Philippines for 1,050 USA $..because its equivalent todays peso-dollar rate =57,000 pesos plus..with this budget ..10k to 20 k for foods is more than enough...renting a Haus or getting a subdivision for 6 t 7k pesos monthly amortization would leave you with 23,000 pesos plus for extra or savings ... That's why retiring Americans ( even Canadians, australians,Europeans) would do well living in the Philippines ...

If you were not born in this kind of environment life will be hard, but if you born in such environment it is normal. I from Seychelles it is the same here , but I get frustrated with traffic noises. Be it in cities, jungles or village everywhere you must be prepared for noise pollution in this country.

You are right. Philippines is very noisy place to be. Hotels were playing music at the pool even at 2am. Traffic noise is bad, Traffic pollution is terrible. People were wearing face masks or cloth over their mouth even before covid. City streets smells so bad from exhaus smoke. I have rooster in Europe too but I can hear him maybe once a day. Filipino roosters crowing nonstop all day and night. It's the breed of the rooster or I don't know why. European roosters are not so noisy. But if you look long enough, you will find quiet place.
@hansreynders68533 ай бұрын
@@PavolKosik-b3uYou have rooster only? I used to have chickens and a rooster. And every time during the day one of the chickens lay her egg, she let it know. And then what do you think the rooster will do? Exactly, he will craw to announce it loudly. Several times a day, every day. Add to that his regular crawing late evening, midnight, early morning (4-5am), then you know a rooster in the Philippines is not any different from his European brother.
@PavolKosik-b3u3 ай бұрын
@@hansreynders6853 Have you ever been in Philippines? Their roosters do not shut up 24h a day. I guarantee you that I do not hear nonstop 24 hours a day roosters in countriside in Europe. Maybe she is embarrassed by grandparents living conditions. Nevertheless something seems not right. You should be welcomed to meet and spend time with the grandparents. The people staying in the rural areas all live a simple life with simple homes. This is the way they enjoy to live life. Grandparents would normally want to meet the new man in her life. I am sure the grandparents would cook a meal for Michael and family all eat and drink refreshments together. He must just occupy himself whilst his girlfriend is spending time with her parents. Strange set up especially for Philippino families. He mentions on his vlog he always gets told to wait outside on the road and has never been invited to come inside house. Not normal in any society.

A house like this in Sydney Australia where i live would only be available to very high income earners and as rentals here are advertised at a weekly amount, I would estimate it to be about 8-900 AUD per week (about 138600 PHP per calendar month) due to it being a house (not a unit or condo) in good condition, aircon installed, large balcony good safe neighbourhood, able to be locked up, big car spaces(s) and a good area and location, just shows the pathetic quality of life we have when we retire here in Sydney compared to there at this location, makes me want to neck myself :(, PS great video and so informative as your videos generally are, cheers mate.

Don’t relocate to the Philippines if you hate a natural alarm clock every 4-5 AM. That is for the farmers to farm early and have siesta when the sun is too high. But if you love healthy living then this is a good place. Have courtesy visit to the Barangay and expect that you will be protected and invited during fiestas.
