My daughter-in-law was raised for the first 13 years of her life by a drug addicted mother, a few of those years she was in different foster homes and was removed permanently at the age of 13. She was subsequently adopted by a couple that divorced, the father died a year later and the mother was very cold even to her own natural children. A couple of years into her and my son's marriage she was working very hard at her job at a gas station and my husband told her how proud he was of her and she stopped stared at him, her face got red and she burst into tears. She then told us nobody ever told her that before. She was about 23 years old.

yes same:(( i lovee amazing dads.. its weird to see it bc mines been an abusive alcoholic and recently now drugs for the last few years.. hes always been an amazing dad growing up mentally. he was fun.. but as i grew up,, he got worse and now he asks me for help,, rides,, money,, to help get him to work and work for him ( hes always been a plumber,, but can never 'b someones bitch' and work for them) when he has, he thinks hes better than them and starts tellin em what to do and argues and he fights everyone,, he has bad anger issues.. it hurts bc im loosing him and it is hardwr considering i just lost my fiance to us getting robbed and he saved my life but passed right after😩💙 sorry i needed to rant and let this out for some reason.. it feels good and makes me feel better for a lil after getting it out occasionally.. and 2 years just came up on dec 31st..

I agree . I watch The Felts family on You Tube who’ve adopted two girls one from the Philippines and one from China. Both children have disabilities . Before adoption , Lizzy the Chinese girl was on the verge of death . At the age of 5 she had to be carried like a baby . She could not use any of her limbs . She was very thin . Her head had been shaved . Her teeth were protruding and rotting and her breath smelled badly. She made no sound and was barely living . Now thanks to the Feltz family especially her mother Ashley , lizzy is thriving . Her hair has grown , her teeth are fine and she has recently learned to WALK . The other little girl originally from the Philippines is thriving too . She can’t talk but is making sounds ( Sorry I can’t remember her name) Sadly, there’s also a darker side to adoption especially when people adopt from abroad. They adopt to traffic kids . Also in America there are people who adopt children from abroad , no longer want them and give the children away by advertising them on a certain website . They don’t ask who the person taking the child is . (They don’t get money for the child) . I saw a TV programme where an American couple adopted a 4 year old boy from Africa . The couple were interviewed . They said that the boy , their son , was disruptive and would hit them and was a danger to them . They went to Social Services who said they could not help them and couldn’t take the little boy as the adoption was from abroad . The couple then advertised their son on this website. A woman in her 30s said she’d take the boy . They did not ask the woman for references or anything . They were desperate to get rid of their son . The boy’s father dropped off his son at the woman’s house . The TV programme showed us the boy at 14yrs old . The woman who took him and later adopted him said that the boy was never disruptive , violent or a horrible child . She said he was scared , shy, timid and very polite . Anyway , at 14 the boy was very happy, getting A’s at school and would help around the house with the younger children . So for him , it was a good outcome but not necessarily for other children . Thankfully many adoptions are legitimate and the kids go into a loving home . Apologies for such a long reply 🌺
