I'm currently at the refridgerator scene . I want to give this PSA about fridges . This goes for folks who are moving a fridge from house to house when moving or getting a used working fridge or even up right freezers too. If you have to lay the fridge or freezer down to haul it , Please give it at least 24hours before you plug it in or turn it on . if you plug it in you'll damage the compressor effectively burning it up due to having no lubrication . The 24 hr of letting the fridge sit unplugged upright allows the oil to return to the compressor. I sold a nice working fridge once it was setup outside on a porch plugged in and running/working with jugs of water and soda cans and a partial bag of ice in the freezer frozen . This was to prove it was functional . Had someone who baught it they had a van not a truck , so it had to be laid down to transport it. They were Told to stand it up and not plug it in once at their destination they said OK. They took it and unloaded it and plugged it in , they called me the next day and said it stopped working over night. They also wanted their money back too. But I denied them a refund for not doing as I specifically told them to do. So what paul said about wrecking the compressor is 100% true. It will happen .

How do you like all the stuff we grew up on and they now are remaking it, again? Oh my goodness, I can’t believe you love those Compari tomatoes! They are my absolute favorite! They are the only tomatoes I’ve ever had that still taste like a tomato right off the vine even in winter! Last month I spent about $19 on them at the first of the month, then they went on sale for $1.99 a carton, had to go back and get two more cartons. I also harvested some seeds, planted them and 11 tiny plants grew, but none of them made it, they all dropped over and died. I blame it on the potting soil from the Dollar Tree, so will be getting some soil from Lowe’s and try again. 😊 By the way, when I was a little girl, (a very long time ago…on 6-3 I’ll be 80) my dad worked in the oil fields in west Texas and NM, and he would bring home insulated wire then pull the wire out, it was my job to get the wire out of his car and put it in a barrel on our property, then before the start of school he would sell the scrap, whatever money he got was for my school clothes which my auntie would make, she was a professional seamstress, and could make anything.

12:45 It would likely have less carbon if it was non magnetic stainless steel (called “austenitic”). Also there are many magnetic varieties of stainless steel that have plenty of chromium but not enough nickel to disrupt the magnetic crystal structure of the steel (martensitic and ferritic)

You can lay a refrigerator or freezer on its side or back. Just set it back upright and don't turn it on for at least 24 hours. I worked for a moving company and learned that from them. That was in the 80's and I've never had a problem with any of them.

Our clean up week wasn't very busy either. I think things are so expensive right now that people who don't normally scrap are turning things in too for extra money. My daughter put things out and wasn't all the way back in the house and everything was gone before the garbage collection even came.
