It's a beautiful upgrade. Just a small hack to increase the amount of time that you can go between upgrades, when it starts feeling a little small next time you can build a basking area to sit on top of the bin instead of in it which would allow you to fill the water up higher and buy you some time before the next upgrade.

Hahahaa he loves you, and he totally wants a snack. I have seen some snappers be so dang mild, like that old man and his turtle, his turtle is almost the same age as him. The man rescued him. I help them when they hatch to the river, they have such a long hike. Doesn't mean all of them will live, they all just get a better starting chance is all.

snapping turtles are 100% one the most underrated turtle species. I would invest some time into target training, just to save yourself some stress. They take to it pretty easily.

I have 3 very large common snappers my largest is 18 y/o and 42 1/3 pounds. You needs better water. Get a canister with rubber hoses in and out.. No other filter will work they will destroy on backs or submersibles . They will attack the hose to but once they know they can't destroy it they leave it alone. Carbon to clean the water is needed. Hand raised all 3 since hatching.

It’s YOUR channel with YOUR name, and we all love the content you create for us. Good, sad, or GREAT, it is always authentic & is about living, breathing, wild animals (domesticated ones but wild none the less), so what ever content you desire to create, we are just happy that you are doing so for us. You have the most loyal subscribers & they tune in for YOU just as much as they do for your animals (regardless of whether they are tarantulas, your snake, dog, turtle, or any other pet you choose to share with us! Your content is authentic and that’s why we love you! ❤❤❤ I have followed you for over a year now, and at least a half dozen (or more) times I’ve heard you kinda of “justify or explain” whenever your content isn’t all about tarantulas (😮or other true spiders & invertebrates). At some point you'll outgrow that tank and when you do go take a look at the Rubbermaid 150Gallon or even the 300gallon if you want something huge. I have both and they're epic for ponds.

Snapping turtles definitely get bad reps, turtles are so awesome!!! On our farm out in liberty,TN we had a pond that we had several snappers, ended up a huge one bigger than any of the farm equipment to move him, we hit him into the back of the Datsun truck and got him help. Afterwards he ended up coming up to the house freely. My grandmother was so freaked. I just wanted to know if I could ride him, I was like 6. Bowser is so special!

Common snapping turtles have smooth shells. Spikey shells are alligator snappers. They are more docile than commons.

He’s a common :) they all have spiked shells as babies and smooth out. His has gotten much smoother over the years.

This is the second common snapping turtle I've seen that has been turned into a puppy dog. First one was Gizmo lol. With enough time, you can turn any turtle into a puppy dog if you take it outside of it's tank and let it get used to you holding it in your hands.

Awesome! I did turtles once in my early 20s. 2 red ear sliders. Cute, but absolutely disgusting and no commercial filter could keep up with them. I was so glad someone we knew had a pond to put them in. My husband would literally leave the house when I had to clean the tank-twice a week.
