vibranium is stronger but much more difficult to work with. It has never been shown in its molten state. Uru-metal can only be worked with the heat produced by a star, the "dying" bit was for theatrics and a more active star would likely burn anyone who got close enough alive.

Jean and Charles are more powerful, but definitely no weapons, no one made them as such. They are mutants, like Logan, but Logan was enhanced by Striker in that Weapon X program, so he was essentially "created" by him. Same as Weapon Eleven, aka Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool.
