The idea with that particular interview was to promote his tour of dramatic recitals. The tour itself… became a complete train-wreck, after serious controversies at the very first stop (West-Berlin) including furious exchanges with the audience only one more venue showed the show (Düsseldorf), and the tour led to the tour’s manager/organizer/promoter‘s bankruptcy. I wouldn’t call Kinski a genius. He was a constantly raging madman, with some seriously toxic narcissistic traits, and a degree of arrogance ranging well into psychopathy.

Klaus Kinski going mad is the ultimate meme. He did it very often, mostly with just little or none reason, but I like the fact that he always said what everybody else would just be thinking.

One of the better days of Klaus. He´s very patient.

You should watch kaya yanar and Michael mittermeier Them both performed in english as well Best wishes from merry oul germany ❤ PS: kinski is said to be one of the best actors but in my eyes, he was a psychopath, who abused his daughters😢

There is a more worst cpnversation on youtube. It is dduring filming the movie "Fitzcaraldo". It s very hard to hear this conversation between Klaus Kinski and the director of the movie. I do not know if there is a version with subtitles. Watch it :-)

1:40 Crap is a mistranslation there. In that context "scheiß" has a similar meaning to "fucking" in English, i.e. none. So the proper translation would be "I have shot fucking movies."

Max Giermann can imitate him very well. This is how all interviews with Kinski ends. He decides how to conduct an interview and what questions to ask. The interview "Je später der Abend" (1977), is nicer. Manfred Krug and Klaus Kinski are guests of Reinhard Münchenhagen, whom Kinski constantly calls "Münchhausen" (a historical figure Baron von Münchhausen, also known as the "lying baron").Instead of answering the questions, Kinski starts an argument with a bearded studio guest and the interview gets out of hand. Kinski knew how to put on a show. No matter where he was invited, ratings and a scandal were guaranteed. "If someone puts on a show, he is the BOSS." "I can't insult you as much as you've annoyed me."

Werner Herzog (I love him) made an excellent documentary about Kinski. By the way: all of Herzog's films are fantastic en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Best_Fiend
