@@bmajor5424 I have no knowledge of either of those stunting growth. Plus, I'm not saying make your kid an Olympic gymnast. Just put them in it for a few years so they can have confidence in their body because they have achieved balance, power, agility, strength in all of its variables, and body control.

@@bmajor5424 thats a myth research has clearly showed that getting into sports or weight training doesnt stunts anyone instead it helps to grow more taller then the genetic limit...btw genetics determine ur height by 90% so dont worry about it ...

@@bmajor5424 Bit of anecdotal evidence, I used to be a gymnast when I was only 8 years old, grew to be the tallest of our family. As the other person mentioned as well, me and my brother were gymnasts and are the healthiest and most adequate at any sport, new or old.

@@bmajor5424 your height won’t take an impact unless you damage your growth plate which won’t happen unless you purposely slam your joint every day from birth. It’s a misconception since usually shorter people tend to have advantage therefore most elite gymnasts tend to be short & with ever increasing standard gymnasts are shorter than ever by average… I’ve known excellent gymnasts who had to face elimination later in their teens due to tall stature even with shorter parents. And yes height does play critical role at heigh level gymnasts.

@@bmajor5424 I used to be a gymnast too and was told I’d be too tall to be a career gymnast at 15 & I was 5’6. I ended up being a dancer and stopped growing at 5’7 but I’m one of the taller ones in my family. If playing certain sports could change your genetics I should have chosen basketball :) yes I do agree with you on certain damage or a toll that body has to take over a lengthy period of time. I’m 40 now & I still tumble on hard ground but after numerous injuries and surgeries I walk like a 70year old went my body’s not in action…

For professional Olympic-level gymnastics, his technique is ridiculous and messy. He will not help the US team in any way, they do everything that needs to be done a thousand times better. For the layman, of course, he is a unique athlete and a brilliant master of performance.

If he got the proper coaching by professionally trained instructors that trains US gymnasts then he could definitely help the US gymnastics win gold. Hell Yao Ming was raw when he came from China to the NBA where the talent level was night and day and nearly everyone thought he would be a complete joke and the Rockets was using him to sell tickets and get publicity but once the Houston Rockets trained and developed him to be a real NBA center he became a monster and is now in the NBA Hall Of Fame. So, this guy may be raw and not as technical sound as a US gymnast but if he got the right training to be that level of athlete he could win as many gold medals as Michael Phelps.
