That's likely her random thought. Yes you only gave birth to his body and not his thoughts but YOU were the one who raised him so everything you do to nurture him from the moment he was born affects the way he will grow to be. I really don't like her attitude here. She really looked like she's pretending to be the victim here. From the moment she appeared from the door I already sensed that she's one to be at fault (And it's not just mere sense though, I've seen so many things a person like me should not see and I can tell that mother is a big No No). I really hope that everything will work out for the boy, I don't care about the mom anymore because it's clearly seen that she's mandatoring him like some maid or robot that wants everything her way but if ever she changed to become a mother who would sincerely love her kids and would do anything to HELP them become happy (Which is the opposite of what she's doing and I don't she would change anytime soon) only then will her son be genuinely hapoy (because what the boy needs and lacks is the love, support, trust, and the SINCERITY from his parents)

It hit me when I saw him dancing. He danced like he had something to prove. He danced like he was trying to earn value that he had never been given. His parent may say that they support him, but they do not care about his feelings. He is emotionally neglected. And this is tearing him up inside. He wants his parents and family to emotionally support him (say things like "you've worked so hard" "you're doing great" "it's ok I believe in you") but when he opens up to them they are either apathetic or they do not acknowledge his feelings and place demands instead such as "why can't you study more?" They don't acknowledge his efforts, and it has caused him to feel unseen by them. So now, he renders them in contempt. All four of them need better communication between them.

Idk.. I feel like something's missing? There has to be some bigger reason as to why he hates his mom so much right? The faces he was making while his parents were talking make me feel like they could have been lying as well. And yes the son has major attitude problems, but I can't help but feel that something is off. Also I think the main issue is just a lack of communication and too many assumptions.

Sometimes, I think that emotions like this are sensitive and stem very easily from simple causes. Like you said, there could be something left out, or there could simply be misunderstanding and overreaction. I used to be somewhat like the son, but without any reason in particular. “Puberty,” isn’t all to blame, but at that age the mind is still young and easily changed. It’s more simple to portray something such as hatred or dislike on the outside, so very simple. You’re definitely right though, the main issue is for sure lack of communication and too many assumptions.

All these comments that are going against this guy... let me tell you .. it‘s always at least 2 people who create a disagreement. Some of the things they said didn‘t match . A teenager doesn‘t change out of a sudden because of hormones. There‘s more behind it. I don‘t think that the parents are angels. Everyone was going against him . He didn‘t have any chance. But I smell something fishy. Also about the grades. I believe him. Why? Well because it‘s easy to research if he is lying , if he would have lied they would have proven it. I mean this is an entertainment show and catching someone when they are lying is entertaining. Ughh I am so sorry but these comments make me hate population more and more . People tend to believe everything you tell them with a bit of acting . Why do people never look outside the box? Ps. Thanks to all the haters who will act as if they were grammar teachers . Sorry I ain’t perfect and we ain‘t in grammar lesson.

Being a teenager is never an excuse for being this much of a jerk, what sounds crazy to me is that people now days excuse disgusting behaviour with hormones so those "teenagers" are milking it way too much , we will never know the truth but we also don't assume something we have no clue about and giving excuses when he didn't even put much efforts into explaining . You can watch the whole details on tv i mean if you live in Korea of course it's more detailled than that. Don't search for things that doesn't exist .no matter what happens btw two people especially your mom, respect is something you shouldn't even doubt that you owe her.

Look at his face and his expressions when they talk..I feel so bad for him. They only see the family's hurt, he must be hurting so bad as well, I feel like crying istg. He started his own dance club and she tells him everyday that "he's a bad dancer" HONEY! THATS TRYING TO CHANGE HIM! They're so discouraging and don't even see it. His mom tells the whole frickin nation that he gets bad grades *WHEN SHE DIDNT EVEN SEE HIS REPORT CARD and didn't even know that he was 8th in his class* I am honestly sooo pissed. Poor dude, everyone saying he's got a nasty attitude, it's a bit obvious that he can't say anything bruv. All he's doing there is defending when he can. They're fricking adults and family..most of the time, family knows NOTHING. They're saying "it's puberty" *bitch NO!* it's his pent up anger and frustration and constant disappointment. its obvious since he got bullied by all of his classmates he's like this, he feels like his parents aren't on his side yet everyone on these comments are bashing him. If you are around his age you would know that you feel like theres no one of your side, he just wants people to show him more support and less criticism, thats what kids need when they grow up. Also with the hospital one, I highly doubt he forgot about it he probably just didn't want to face his mom being sick and just think she was fine. A lot when my parents or relatives or sick thats what I do just to get my mind off of it and think about something better

THIS is exactly why dramas like Sky Castle are created. Have she ever genuinely asked him WHY he's doing all this? With an open heart. I feel like she's the typical asian parent who would ask her son why he did what he did, and when he honestly answered, she would be offended. Parents really need to start being open minded with their children. Grades really DO NOT matter. Atleast he never failed. Atleast he didn't drop out of school. This is simply a case of miscommunication. He just has so much pent up frustration because of them, and it showed through his words. I'm sure he actually beats himself up after saying those things.

I was just facing almost the exact same situation with him and as much as my parents said that they were supporting me, the amount of times they've discouraged me without noticing it has been alot. I actually sympathized so much with the boy, I do understand that he does have attitude problems when it comes to his parents but there's definitly a reason behind it. His parents doesn't seem to be complete angels. He looks so frustrated and like he can't express enough of his thoughts towards the situation, maybe it's because his parents always find a way of shutting him down, which seems alot in the video. I don't think it's right to blame only the son, every single disagreement or conflict comes from both sides and it may have been triggered when his own parents seem to not trust him anymore, saying that he doesn't study when his grades are good. He might say his grades are bad to the parents because they've set such an unrealistic standard for him. It's extremely hard to go through a situation like this especially at that age because I went through it myself. I had to keep listening to my parents discouraging me, with them knowing and without them knowing. I pent up all those emotions in me and I'd have outburst where I end up being dismissive of their feelings. Yes, it's wrong to act that way but it was also wrong for them to indirectly talk trash about my own passion and insult what i was doing as if they couldn't trust me. It might as well be the same situation for him. I was given an expectation to maintain my grades, so was he. The amount of times they've 'threaten' him in order to stop dancing, that's the same as being unsupportive. Imagine what the guy is facing right now, I don't really need to because I've experienced it. However, to those people that only chose to trash talk him and not find the fault in his parents, you guys need to re-think the perspectives and how much this can actually fuck you over because it hurts knowing your own parents are not fully supporting you, that they are always looking for a way to critize what you love doing.

idk but something just feels...off about this debacle. It genuinely feels like everyone blames the kid, which to be fair-an attitude problem is still a problem, but I just feel some suspicious shit is going on with the parents. Things just ain't adding up here, and I feel like it isn't the kid. People tend to trivialize the problems of adolescents and children, as if they aren't human as well-and it's not always because of puberty. It kind of feels like they're using puberty as a scapegoat when it's not the root of the problem.

Idk...people are saying he is a jerk and everything. For me i think he realise that he is wrong and solve the misunderstanding between them. Cause you know when his dad said that he suddenly kneel down and beg him to change his reaction is just, why is he suddenly like this. You can see that for him, his dad doing that is something weird and like why is he over reacting. I think there is no product without process. Dancing is very a sensitive issue for him cause when he was bullied, dancing is the only thing that help him to get out of it not his parents. I can see that his parents can't do anything to help him that is why he didn't seem to believe his family. Don't call him a jerk. He is a kid that's still learning.

This is an interesting situation because although the kid acts extremely rude like they said, all the problems seem to stem from bad assumptions that everyone kept making. Now his dancing... he definitely spent hours on it but I agree with Chiyeul, he is a bit stiff and awkward in his hands and with his head/neck. He lacks expression and the fluidity/calmer aura (sorry this is kind of hard to explain) that people who are 'born with the beat' have. If you need examples compare the kid to Hwang Chiyeul (the dude who free-styled in the video), Park Jimin, Jung Hoseok (J-Hope), Lee Taemin, Michael Jackson, Madhuri Dixit, Joaquin Cortes etc.. Even if some of the people listed have different 'styles' look at the ways in which they express themselves with their bodies, it's a totally different level.

As a dancer I don't think he is a terrible at dancing. Personally I see that he focused all his attention into the movements and wanted to look cool. All the genre of dance require to be flexible. Because you need to feel every single muscle in the rhythm. I recommend him to take yoga class or jazz ballet to help him to feel and stretch every single muscle. Thats why his hand movement neck was kinda awkward.

A sort of brat character now, but is not terrible. I think he is ignoring his own feelings or again doesn’t know how to feel towards his parents because of the lack of true communication. A lot of these parents and children on this show I can not believe, they have never had a true deep conversation and connection of like feelings so they feel so distant. It’s not a disaster of a family, and there’s still hope in their relationship building. His passion is very interesting, and he’s hardworking. I can tell his mother and father care for him, so I hope it works the best for them all.

Asian parents can be really brutal when it comes to study and grades.. also not caring about bullies is so common here .. parents will tell that " you go to school to study not to make friends.stop making friends you'll not be bullied anymore"!!!!! Like WTH???? No matter how much of a good behaving , punctual kid you are you won't be cared when you get bad grades!!!!!! The only thing some mothers talk about is how much money their husbands make, how fair their skin is and how much of good student their kids are!!!!! It's so messed up ......

Mentally SICK! Get the right people to help her. Someone does not become bully in one night, that person went thru some horrible things during her childhood, so that made them that way. @@KristinaLovesJustin I wanted to know your opinion on that so thanks for that. IMO the right way to handle that is by not being involved with them because if it is a deep rooted traumatic experience you being around "helping" them will be a hindrance from them getting real help. Because of whatever underlying anger/need they have for you could be stemed from the hurt. So until THEY get help on their needs and YOU on YOUR own and you can be mentally stable with talking it out together then you can. In tis case with the son he is an irresponsible lazy boy who should help his mom. Again thank you for your opinion on this matter. Have a good one!

I agree with ChiYuel, he does not have a natural rhythm of a dancer, he may practice hard but he will not make it as a dancer. Dancers have a natural flow and expression in their dance and his movements are disjointed and stiff even with all that bouncing around. He can enjoy dance as an activity but he should stick to his studies.

i have done this before so i know what its like, kinda? the boy is obviously spoiled with a mom who isn’t forcing him to study therefore he takes advantage of that and does what he wishes to do. it’s wrong of him to do so, as he has such a caring mother who just wants him to study a little on the side as well as dancing (hence how supportive she was while he was dancing). seeing this really upsets me, as he’s just being disrespectful and rude towards his own mother. we should learn to be more grateful towards our parents:/

This episode honestly angered me. Because one the mum said most people have puberty for 1-2 years which is completely untrue as it usually actually lasts around 6 years sometimes more for guys as they take longer to mature. And like sure his grades dropped but like hell they study different areas of a subject every time and he may be less talented at some than others and isn't it normal for a person to have ups and down especially as i student at that age. heck when i was focusing on my dance professionally i only had 3 hours of school 4 days a week I was trying so hard but still falling behind and i remember my mum had then said to me i wasn't working hard enough because I used to have get better grades. I felt so bummed that i gave up trying to fix my grades. I also think the kids mum is doing the same my mum did where she would find out i had lied about something (it usually being a small lie) and she would then think that everything that i said that sounded even slightly unbelievable to her could possibly be a lie and that hurts thinking your own mother doesn't believe you. I know alot of people will say but you shouldn't have lied, well did you know we are usually lied to about 10-200 times a day its literally human nature to lie when you brain thinks its beneficial even if that may not be the case. I honestly think the guy acts the way he does cause no one believes him and i think he feels he is alone and his mother doesn't believe in him or his dream. I'm also scared that because of this his mum will "give up" on him like my mum did to me 4 years ago as she didn't agree with me or could see my point of view and refused to listen when i would try to explain simply sayin i was lying and wrong as she was always right. Really its sad because i can ask my mum to her face if she has given up on me and she no longer tries to hide it and simply replies yup. So I wish the kid to continue to follow his dream ignore all the hate and tell his mum to stop have such big expectations of him and maybe then she will be less disappointed. I do wish he would not confront his mum in such a rude way though as that is simply pointless and gives her more reason to think you are a lost cause.

People should think more about the son. I am going through a similar situation like him, I am also an aspiring teen dancer. Although I get straight A's, my parents say it is easy. When I ask them about getting dance lessons they say it is a waste of money and that I shouldn't 'waste my education.' My parents always act like they are supportive and I am the troubled teen who only criticizes and argues with them. Honestly, being in a household with parents that reduce your passion is suffocating and toxic, the parents in this show might present an angelic exterior but there are many signs of their toxicity. The mom emphasizes his bad grades, criticizes her son for dancing bad, forces him to go to an institute he HATES and doesn't comfort him when he is crying because of stress and sadness (and makes up excuses for it). Maybe the coping mechanism he developed was being rude to his parents so their comments didn't get to his head. I think that the guy should apologize for his rudeness but keep in mind that his parents don't apologize for their actions, manipulate their son into doing what they want and blame everything on him. We especially have to consider how he got bullied and dancing was a form of helping him recover, so his mental health is probably really fragile and his parents are clearly not helping.

you know when his dad said that he suddenly kneel down and beg him to change his reaction is just why is he suddenly like this. I think there is no product without process. Dancing is very a sensitive issue for him cause when he was bullied, dancing is the only thing that help him to get out of it not his parents. I can see that his parents can't do anything to help him that is why he didn't seem to believe his family, you can see when he said he cried when he bicker or what with the director, his parents think that they couldn't do anything and just keep quiet. Probably that is what they do everytime. this is not only about puberty. This is the product of every incident that happened is his life. Don't call him a jerk. He is a kid that's still learning

This felt so incomplete, like both the parents and the son have contradicting statements like there’s no clear communication between them. Idk which one is lying. Or they could not be lying either, just lack of communication, full of assumptions But I kind of relate to the boy on why he got so distant and short-tempered on his parents. This occured to me when my parents showed signs that they don’t support my dreams, I was so distant and always pushed them away when they try to talk to me. But later I realized that they never really opposed my dreams (like the parents here) they were just worried about my future so they hope I’d take a different path but they didn’t force it tooo much on me either. I was just upset because I wish they would be enthustiatic about me pursuing my dreams. Ever since I realized that, I slowly started opening up to my parents and it got better since then. They started understanding my side but still not totally tho haha and its ok 😬 cuz I understand them now too haha I also think it was wrong for the son to be thoughtless about her mom being hospitalized and his dad kneeling in front of him crying. I couldn’t even stand just imagining my mom lying on a hospital bed. That would break my heart. I think both the parents and son are not emotionally connected and the son is in his teens I think he requires a lot of emotional needs. They all do tho haha Idk haha this is just my thoughts on this because this concern ended feeling so incomplete ps. He can dance. You can see he practices a lot and you can see that he enjoys it haha

All these people saying he's bad at dancing n that he should concentrate on his studies. Is this the first time yall ever seen someone bad at somethinv trying hard? There r so many GREAT dancers now who once sucked at it. Yes his behaviour towards his parents r very bad but tbh we all have been there. At this age, not getting the support u want from ur parents is stressful and it makes u hate yourself cause u feel like a bad child. And you rebel cause at some point u give up n start acting stupid. I have the parents who dont like my dream. They dont straight up tell me "dont do it", they try to scare me, telling me its hard n that money is important than dream n end of the day they say "no one is stopping u". The fact that ur family is not liking ur dream itself affects ur mentality way too much. Trust me I've been there n im still there. I dont think its fully that guy's fault

chiyeul was right, he is definitely not a natural dancer and he needs work, but he did do well. His upper and lower body didn't match though. He's young, he still has time to find himself, but he needs to respect his mom first and foremost. No choreographer or agent wants to work with someone who can't even respect his mother. It sends a bad impression. He needs quite a lot more dance lessons, though. I was surprised. I really thought he was going to burst out some BTS level choreo during the freestyle, but he looked like Eustace from Courage the Cowardly dog. I think something happened for him to be this way I don’t think it’s just puberty I think the parents possibly did something that deeply hurt him and then lead him to just not like them anymore. I can relate as for a while I acted this way towards my mum and blamed her for whenever she allowed my abusive father back into the house for visits and she didn’t see anything wrong with it as she just didn’t want to get in the way of me and my siblings relationship with our father which hurt me even more. Eventually I spoke to her about it after he left for good and she apologised and never allowed him back into the house again so I think they honestly just need to talk and he needs to speak honestly about what’s bothering him, without cameras and a bunch of peoples judgements.

It feels so empty, nothing gets answered. We don't even get to see much of his point of view, I think this one was too biased towards the parents. They should've let him talk more and say what's on his mind but everyone was pestering him and saying he was the one wrong. They didn't even dig deep into what was the core of the problem, we don't know exactly why he's mean to his mom maybe it is about dance or maybe puberty but I think there is more to it than this. I feel bad for the mom and also the kid, the mom is suffering from hypothyroidism and the kid is being harsh on her but I also somehow agree with the kid assuming that the parents will make you study because of failing an audition must've come from somewhere him/no one in this world would think that if there wasn't an actual reason to why he's hiding it. I think the kid was a liar but I think the parents also lied about something (idk), the kid wouldn't hate the mother for no reason and if the mom was always rooting for him he would be more respectful and would love his mom more. I only agreed to what Dongyeop said at the end 20:31......Anyway this was only an opinion no hate....k bye

Ok, I definitely feel like something is off, parenting I feel like it's failing. First off, yes, I agree that he's got a bad attitude, but he's a teenager and most of the time if a teenager has a bad attitude towards a parent it has to do with the relationship between them. Like the way he says that the mom says how he's a bad dancer, it's already something that affects them. You should support your child with something they want to do, but at the same time remind them that they gotta be responsible. For example; if your child wants to go fishing support them, if they go to a fishing contest show that you're proud , if they get good grades show that your proud but do remember that there are many things to punish about. That's just an image that came in my mind but here are other things to keep in mind; try to see from your child's p.o.v. why they want to do this, whether it's something good then support them, if it's something bad try to talk with them to understand the reasoning behind it. If they make a mistake it wouldn't always be a good idea to punish them all the time because they could most likely feel ashamed, guilty of what they made so I'm my opinion would be best to talk with them about it, give them advice, remind them that things will be okay and they gotta be more careful. If it's something out of hand then yes, there's a punishment. But it's isn't always the answer to punish them because that could cause problems in their self esteem if it starts as a child and as a teen it could be very rebellious and very hard to break. Show support to them and they would most likely be more attached to you because they know that you as a parent are someone they can trust with anything. Usually things like this situation cause teens to act this way because they feel betrayed, so they think why would I show support if they haven't shown me? I'm not saying that everything is on the parent, but it has to do a lot with parenting. Of course not always be giving compliments because it becomes annoying with time, do set boundaries, same with kids, they gotta know when it has been enough and if not, the parent has full permission to punish them. Sorry this was far too long but I just had to say what I feel, this situation, even though I feel many things are left out, it has to do with the lack of communication.
