Kevin Moranz is one of the top privateers in the sport and has been slowly dialing in his program these last few seasons. He has had a run of great results in 2023 and has gone on a tear with some awesome starts in heats and main events, grabbing a ton of eyeballs in the process. I reached out to KM after his Seattle Main Event holeshot and told him there was a seat on the podcast if he ever wanted to do it and with that true privateer hustle he jumped on a flight to make it happen!

Agree it makes it more exciting along as keep it so everyone still wants to see racing not just fighting and crashing each other like Nascar. Look where they're travelling downhill and loosing fans spectators sponsorship and teams. It's more like WWE. Motocross is as dangerous as it is and doesn't need idiots taking out others on all the time, it will happen now and then but not on purpose. Its crazy clean racing with banter that doesn't disgust people. Kid's want to watch to. Keep rippin it up bud. Avagud1

bro if you need the son of a failed racer/self proclaimed outcast of the moto world to "bring people back to the sport" you've got the wrong crowd following. We should be wanting to see more people with the upbringing of a mcgrath or pastrana, rather somebody who was born a millionaire and has been groomed to be a pro racer since before they could walk

@@dr00andrew Deegan went a different route and capitalized on it financially. Deegan played the part as the heel and Pastrana was the clean cut boy. Both are millionaires now as McGrath. If money made kids great wouldn’t that play out in all sports. This is ridiculous. Deegan wasn’t handed anything, he’s earning his way. Everyone wants to kick his ass more than anyone and he’s 2nd in points. Deegan is doing more for the sport than anyone has in the past 10 yrs.

Apparently, when Bob Hannah was once asked about his competitors in an interview in the stadium, he responded "The only way any of these guys are beating me is if someone lets the air out of my tires". It definitely would be amazing to see more personality from the racers instead of "I wanna thank......".

I still think the entire Deegan Smith situation was just not knowing what the other guy was doing. They kept looking at each other trying to figure it out, but just caused more issues. Smith ended up trying to race him to that last corner and blew out the corner. He locked his rear tire up, slid out and caught a tire and high sided into Deegan.

Bob Hannah was in a different era where they didn't have these really big sponsors and everything didn't have to be politically correct. They weren't worried about what they said. The 1980's were a great time to follow MX. I remember seeing Hannah in 1981 at the Colorado round. He was back in action after the year off from his infamous broken leg. I was standing trackside right at an off camber right hand turn. Hannah tried to make an impossible pass on Donnie Hansen and when they made contact Hannah went down. He got up and limped to his bike, bump started it and took off like a maniac...

Kyle Busch was great for NASCAR. So was Dale Sr. Every sport has it's A holes and they create interest for the fans. We need black hat dudes who stir the pot. Look at Barcia when he was causing all that trouble. We were lapping it up like hungry dogs. As long as it's genuine and not an act, which with Deegan I really don't think it is an act. He is full on who he wants to be and really doesn't seem too bummed by the haters. BTW Moranz is a great dude. So cool. So in touch with his fans. “How many people watch SX JUST BECAUSE they love AP” uh fucking zero? This is the weirdest perspective to me. Idc who the athletes are that’s just a bonus we’ve got guys with such great personality lately. I just want good racing which we’ve got in spades.

Deegan was having fun racing his teammate. Even stopped so he wouldn’t just flat out cut Jordons legs out from under him. Of course Jordon went on to take himself out.

I think HAIDEN won the lead and thought that was it no one is really going to battle a heat race that hard . . Think when smith and haiden meet after whoops. Like malcolm Stewart says was like a bad text msgs gone wrong . 😂

I was about to say the same thing is that not the same thing having a sport that's entertaining why does anybody watch sports unless it's entertaining then of course it's this thing that All Humans Beings have he is they got somebody that they prefer like somebody likes the Panthers and somebody else likes the Dallas Cowboys Redskins or whatever same way and racing you know you usually got to have some kind of fan but the only time you have a fan and I think people can be fans of motorcycles and Motocross riding but if he ain't really got somebody that you are fooling for you don't find many people that just watch it just to be watching people ride motorcycles most of the time you have either a brand and I'm that type I like to certain brand always have and whether I like the person riding on it might be a different story or I'm a fan of that person and usually fandomship usually comes with mostly winners, and there are those diehards like I am with Deegan, cause like brain said we're kind of invested with all the hours of watching this kid grow up, but people like others for what ever traits that agree with them and their own personality, like I never like Barcia because of the dangerous butthole way of riding, but here lately he's grown on me because I think he's calmed down on that craziness and everytime I see him now he seems to be a team player and good sportsmanship congratulates others to me that makes me see him in a better light, for one example

Please don't let Dirtbike racing become wrestling. Maybe "Old-Time Hockey." True, anti-heros are better than heels. But it's a fine line between art and smut. Let's keep the sport in the realm of art. Hopefully Haiden will outgrow his dad's image.

smith going down was his own fault. deegan shouldn’t have waited in the corner but smith shouldn’t have hit haidens swingarm like that.

JS7 was able to act cocky and ride the way he rode and be the hero because he grew up poor and had to fight and earn everything he had. Everyone loves a rags to riches story. Deegan is fast af and will be a champion but he was born with a silver spoon and comes off spoiled and entitled exact opposite of most of the legends in this sport. Not Deegans fault but if he does not win a championship he’s a failed the dude has literally been set up with the best of the best since the day he was born. Best bikes, best tracks, not having to worry about paying to get to amateur races. And because of his last name you have people like gypsy stick up for him no matter what he does deegan was wrong in that heat race period. If it was anyone else it wouldn’t even be a conversation on who was in the wrong. Good on kevin for actually knowing what the hell is going on.
