I love how honest and fair you guys are with your customers. On numerous occasions I've seen a customer that's selling, ask to be paid one price and you counter with a larger offer, citing. That's good business, people will not forget that and not only will they return in the future but will also recommend your business to others. I don't collect or have a desire to but I really enjoy this channel mainly because you are so knowledgeable about the toys from my childhood and you are very fair with your customers.

This video got me back into collecting my old Joes circa 82-86. Then I got back into POTF, then I got back into Hot-Wheels, lol. I spent 30 years trying to keep toys and posters to a very minimum, now that I'm approaching 50 nobody comes around anyway so I'm putting all that shit up. It all makes me smile a bit and that 'm sure will help keep me young. Thanks for the memories!

You and the TF team ROCK, Ryan!!! I find it silly that people are trying to make the "broke" and "broken" thing a big deal. Language is dynamic and it changes over time to reflect the people that speak it. That's why most people in the South used to call "skunks" "polecats." But the word polecat is not widely used anymore and may not be easily recognizable by most KZbin commenters. Keep up the great work!

That's how all my joe stuff is, just smashed into 10 - 70Lb black/yellow tote bins in the shed. I went through the early 2000s just completing the collection and going on a huge buying spree when people were just dumping their entire collections for nothing, just to get rid of it for some quick cash in hand. I just don't even want to deal with it, I mean I'd love to display it, but I don't have any room and I know if I did, I'll go through 2 or 3 bins then just get sick and tired of sorting it.

good content, just found this channel after retro rick visited you. i dont like people saying you ripped him off. the guy is a grown man with free will. its his choice to sell. it takes a lot of work and patience to estimate what everything is worth and sell it for maximized profit. it amazes me how you pull random “crap” out of a bag and know exactly what it goes to. most people couldn’t do that and it would take a lot of research to figure out many people arent willing to do that and dont have a means. it takes money to run a store and pay employees, bills etc. not every cent is pure profit for this dude. keep up the good work man

All the people going off in the comments on this video about what something is "worth" are missing the point. Something is only "worth" what you can get someone to pay for it. Sure, maybe dude could sell this stuff on eBay himself. But then he'd have to pay for shipping and deal with the time of packaging it all up and taking it all over the post office piece by piece, over weeks, months, years. Pawn shops, used bookstores, toy stores etc. buy things low and sell things for what they're actually maybe worth or more. That's how they profit, and profit is how they EXIST in the first place. That's because it takes work, money, and time for them to store it, package it, pay emplyoyees, pay bills, etc. If you take used items to a business to sell them, you aren't going to get "what it's worth", for whatever good that ephemeral value is of a nostalgia item that no one actually needs. If you don't understand this concept, then don't ever open your own store, because you'll be out of business within a month or two.
