My dad was a Baptist pastor for 12 years. I am a 20 year old college student, and converting Catholicism. I grew up baptist and am not becoming Catholic to make anybody mad or to rebel against my divorced parents, but because I went to a Catholic Church and I felt the Holy Spirit and decided that’s why I am becoming Catholic. Also when he says why have I not been home, I think that it’s important for him to remember that he was not homeless in his faith and he had that faith background, but something bigger was calling him kinda like me. Some convert Catholics make the best and strongest Catholics of the whole church

@@PInk77W1 So my parents are not very supportive of my decision to become Catholic, but they are also happy that I am at least in love with some sort of faith unlike my other siblings and them. Honestly neither of my parents go to church nor my siblings so I don’t really care what they think and don’t need a feel good religion, but want truth and the sacraments.

Its their family members growth that increases the number of Christians in church...GOD HIMSELF CHOOSES HIS servants and are saving people from gentiles and Christianity is working in God's will...... I know there is some weak points in these anointed churches too... In revelation GOD already talked about weakness and sins of serving churches.... But Catholics are totally different from Bible... I reverted to traditional catholicism... what's the outcome of practicing the true faith? It has brought incredible graces to my marriage, spiritual progress and intimacy with Jesus, etc. He's the center of my life like never before. Regular confession helps strip sin away from my life like no therapist or self-help book could ever match. What blessings we have!

Revelation 8:4 The apostles creed affirms this belief that all Christians knew. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches have always agreed that the Saints in heaven pray for us as written in Revelation.

Oh my gosh!!! Same here! Raised Baptist all my life and I was MEANT to be Catholic from the start! It all made so much sense and difference to me and my life. From my family’s deep routes in New Orleans, a very Catholic city, my lapsed Catholic grandfather, to even me saying I wanted to get married in a Catholic Church when I was a little girl and had no idea what that meant. Interesting I too had the sense that I finally found *my* *Family* when I came into The Catholic Faith just a couple of years ago and that assurance has never left! I was a Protestant for 14 years before converting to Catholicism and I'm happier and more settled and stable in my Faith now than I have ever been before✝️✝️✝️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

I converted at age 50 to Catholicism. Was baptized Presbyterian and confirmed in the Episcopal Church. But felt the leading of the Holy Spirit which I could resist no more. The leading was into the Catholic Church. Began as a teenager in Catholic school. In college I went to hear Pope John Paul II speak in Philadelphia in 1979 during his visit to the US. I never heard anyone talk about God like that in my life. Many years later, after 17 years of being a caregiver to m y elderly parents and grandmother, I made the commitment to start RCIA classes. Now, I have the "peace of God, that passes all understanding."

I left Protestantism as well. Many of them claim to be one Church united in the Spirit, no matter what denomination. However, they have tons of contradictory doctrines. Some baptize infants. Others don't. Some will grant remarriage to the divorced. Others won't. Some believe in consubstantion. Others believe Communion is purely symbolic. Some worship by reading Scripture and taking Communion, others play rock music and babble in fake tongues that cannot be interpreted -- it's pure madness. No wonder Saint Paul in Galatians 5:20 compares making divisions in the body of Christ to murder, idolatry, and witchcraft. With things such as witchcraft you may only confuse yourself... when when you've divided into thousands of denominations, all claiming to be one, yet holding contradictory doctrine you confuse the whole world.

Nothing you listed has to do with changing the message of Salvation or the Trinity, so not sure why these things are cited as evidence. And considering the first schism was between Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox, doesn't that make us all guilty? Disclaimer: I don't see division as necessarily a bad practice, I think it can be healthy and necessary to root out evil or corruption in the faith. But I'm trying to follow your reasoning.

This hits home for me as I am currently on a journey in discovering all the beautiful truths of the Catholic Church that had been misrepresented or maligned, growing up in the Protestant faith. @benwinter1527 Bruv....... the Anglican Communion and Lutherans only make up about 10-12% of all Protestants in the world. I don't know how do you not know this, and majority of them are extremely liberal and low-church/evangelical-styled. They even use skittles flag-freedom and democracy as their testimonies that their faith is true. Protestantism = schisms after schisms and the least common denominator "church". And you'll only follow scholars who are supposedly more conservative and agree with you, which is extremely arbitrary and ad hoc.

To those converting to the Catholic Church, to the Church Jesus Himself founded, but at this time, or in the last couple years, when the chair of Peter is so evidently human, as it was in the time when Peter denied Christ, seemingly way worse now, I believe you are especially dear to our Lord. I believe you have some serious positions of rank to be filled in the army in the battle for souls. Jesus did not found the Catholic Church. My name is Peter, and I followed Jesus’ command in Revelation 18:4. I left the Catholic Church when I was in my 30’s, when I started studying the Word in its entirety. The divine revelation that Jesus is the Son of God is the rock His church is built on. The first pope’s name was Linus. He was put in place 1290 days after the daily sacrifice was taken away in 70AD.

Oke, I have a question for all the Catholics out here: in my country the Netherlands catholics barely go to church, meanwhile the protestants go sometimes even multiple times on Sundays. Why aren't catholics in certain regions not more involved in their church? (And look at it as mere part of the culture)

@@georgepierson4920 it is not about religion, in fact the Baptist Church that i attended literally emphasizes that we can only be saved only if we accepted Jesus Christ as our God and saviour through faith. No religion or church, or man can do so but only in Jesus Christ. It is definitely my decision alone to be a Baptist.

I'm turning towards the warming incentives of a much more spiritual, prayerful nature so I can triumph over some toxic, combative feelings of religious elitism and unruly legalism within my heart and spirit and body regarding my Catholic formation phase right now. This is one of the lights along the way towards an all-embracing conversion to the Faith I already confess and proclaim. Prayers for those struggling with these demons bullying and threatening to destroy our theological virtues! They can't drain what is infused and only sap energy better spent moving into the clear

That "something" that I couldn't quite figure out that was missing in my church-hopping Protestant days feels completely satisfied in the Catholic Church and I have no desire to go anywhere else now, only to deepen my Faith in JESUS and continue the disciplined Prayer life I have found as a Catholic, especially with ROSARY PRAYER! Also, I don't know if you are aware of the Divine Mercy Chaplet...it was given by Jesus to St Faustina. You can find videos on line with the prayers...my favorite version is the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. There is a beautiful Diary...the Diary of St Maria Faustina Kowalska..She recorded what Jesus told her and when you read it it's almost like you are in the room. It's beautiful! i also left the baptist church to become catholic. 16 years i was raised baptist, told that catholic worship mary and told about confession and i thought "well why would anybody buy into that?" then i started reading my Bible and i read mark 16:16. then 1 peter 3:21, then eventually i learned of james 5:16 and revelation 5:8. i could no longer deny it. i was called to join Christ's church.

So far of all thee churches that I have been invited to only catholic church embraces the idea of life after death and spirits/souls so far four pastors have rejected my physical account of meeting Jesus and that there are living creatures walking amongst us everyday exist amongst us all around us but they are not allowednto interfer with living human its Gods law only those who are black spirits and demon creatures find a way to get away with interference with the living. Biblical churches so far I as know interpret light as a metaphorical and allegorical but to catholic people it is the light brighter then the sun God is made of pure powerful light it is true and so are the angels guardian angels are giants in sizes regular angels who have been delegated to work by Jesus are our sizes but made of light. When you die follow the light that is bright light like a flashlight not a metaphorical light or allegorical light it's not a story when you pass away leave your human body behind do not concern what about your body/vessels you used it time to move on and follow the light angels are waiting singing do not pay attention to the voices sound that are calling your name if you had done bad stuff while you were living creatures of demon will try to lure you in and whisper to you you belong in the dark follow them to the fires of hell.no, no,no, go and follow the light like a flashlight 🔦 in the dark or you will miss it you become a living in the realm of after life you will integrate will all kinds of creatures and white spirits who are still confused unsure if they want to go to heaven because they cling on to their possessions gold and houses so on so they harve a hard time following the light they are distracted the result they remain on earth lost soul/spirit, but once they have broken the law of God as white innocent spirit/soul and try to interfere bad things to human living moving objects scaring human living giving nightmare to people they turn to black color that is now more akin to devil Satan's minions they are real all the horror creatures in the movies are what you see and mingle with the more the spirits behave badly the more they turn black and grow horns and tail spepically if they start killing human living by giving them diseases heart attack suffocation and gather the living soul to bring to " luci" as a price. But lucifer could not care less because he just wants more soul he promises to reward black spirit souls creatures to give them protection from fires of hell but there is no reward he is simply lying with a smirk on his face the grin smile devilishly like your pathetic I don't give about you your in my domain now. This are just the things that was revealed to me it was revealed to me that God exist in everything you see, touch, breathe, feel senses. I love his explanation. I completely understand. I was reading Pauls conversion story the other day and thought that’s my story…well except without the blindness. 😂 I can hardly articulate it. But getting called to the RCC was as definitive and obvious and I was so struck…it was like…holy cow, I have to do this! I mean I have to. I have no choice. I just have to…I will face death before saying no to this call. The calling was that strong. There is absolutely zero doubt still to this day. I was also Protestant so it’s nice to hear that that time won’t be wasted.

Something I learned from B to C individuals is that they didn’t like what their preacher was preaching. Baptist ministers can decide what their service will be about. What they decide to focus on, and make their personal decisions on what should be picked at or shamed on. There isn’t really a written list on what readings he has to focus on. The Catholic Church however is more concrete in their readings. The reading in a Catholic Church on Sunday is the same reading in every Catholic Church. It may be in a different language, or be at a different hour depending on the time zone. But that reading is done everywhere. That’s why Catholic is Greek for “Universal” Because all masses will have that reading.

I am protestant, but I believe that some Baptist like myself and some Catholics will be in Heaven. I think its all about 1 fundamental concept. We need to have a relationship with God. And we need to accept God's free gift of salvation and let God be the Lord of our hearts. How you choose to worship, that doesn't matter, cause God wants his people to love and follow him. Honestly confession to someone else would be harder than what I do in prayer to God. I know Catholics believe in Baptism, but so do protestants. The issue Protestants have is Jesus told the thief on the cross with him, that today you will be with me in paradise. Protestants interpret that as Heaven. So if it is, and that man was never baptized then this is where the baptism argument fails.

I’m a Christian. Do I think a single denomination gets everything perfect? No. However, I would never say/believe that any one denomination is perfect/correct and all the other denominations are false and are not saved people. I’m sure you could funds problems with everyone’s beliefs in any denomination. Some of the things that I see people posting on here about how a certain denomination beliefs this therefore is heresy/false doctrine or something, which is said about every denomination. The truth is, is that there are some things that are debatable as long as you believe the salvation message of Christ Jesus. The Bible doesn’t say, you must understand the correct understanding whether or not we are eating the literal flesh of Christ or not, or whether or not a baby must be baptized or it is a dedication, or you shouldn’t have statues in a church or not. Yes I do have my beliefs about these things, but I would never condemn anyone simply because they belong to a different Christian denomination then myself.
