I don't know if you realize just how life changing an event like this can be for a young man like Stephen. It's awesome to see and made for a great video. That extra 10 hp is not always there depending on weather condition. Mag timing and propeller pitch with other things can make your engine perform with less takeoff power then a 150 hp engine. Low weight is the key and good static RPM

Would never guess this young man has a total of 35 hrs of flight training/time. Outstanding !! I predict a wonderful aviation career for him. My son lives in Austin but raises Longhorns on a small ranch in Llano. We pass through Spicewood going out 71 to Llano and there is a BBQ place there called Opies. Their ribs are not that good, but everything else is very tasty. I love eating at Coopers. We take all our deer to Miller's for processing. It's just up the block from Coopers. We took 4 deer this year.
