just my guess but isn't the safe room when he locked you like a bad ending where he escapes and you stay stuck in the game forever? Also my guess but in order to kill him you need to let the merge begin. You keep flipping the switch too early, you saw yourself become him so flip the switch as him and your probably get the ending where you kill him. But over all this game is really interesting and cool, good stuff fusion!

Heard of a light switch? They can come in different forms but one type (usually the light adjustment types) are pressed like a button to turn them on and off, I think it's also the type of switch (just that there's no dimming part to it) used in physics lessons about electricity if you have to turn a light on and off. I mean some are cords (usually in bathrooms) which you pull. And another type that I have encountered is pressed -one side goes down, the light turns on and when it is pressed down on the other side the light turns off. There's also a switch which slides in order to turn the light on and off but it's usually used on toys.

If you find a purple glitching key on a tree in the "night terrors" map, (which is the final key) you unlock a hatch somewhere in the map, go in the hatch and you open a present to find vannys mask, bring vannys mask with you at the prize corner, leave the glitch trap plushie at the prize corner while trying to go find vannys mask, if you have her mask, go to prize corner with her mask, when you are at prize corner, put on the mask and it will tell you a secret message, I hope my advice helped! 😁
