It's called "Foreshadowing". It's somewhat based on "Chekhov's Gun" as well, which is a writing principle that determines that if something appears in a story, it *has* to be necessary or used at some point. In other words, everything that appears in your story has to be relevant to your story. Remember a few videos ago, when the team was talking about the door being openable from the inside how to get out in case they got locked in at some point? That was the element that was introduced, and this is why it was necessary. That was both a case of Chekhov's Gun (introducing an element that became necessary later on) and Foreshadowing (something that hints at what will happen in the future). I wasn't paying attention to the dates the videos were filmed and posted, but there could be a chance that that video is exactly why Syphus had the idea to lock them in in the first place. After all, we now know that Syphus *does* watch the videos.

However, imo, in their situation, a few weakening blows from the end of the bat, perforating the gypsum and then a good shoulder through the area may have been faster, since they already knew they were no studs or obstructions there...
